If you watched Friday night’s game between the Phillies and the Braves, you can see that even at 39-years old and injured, Chipper Jones can still play. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored, despite battling a torn meniscus in his knee.
Well, the Phils – or anyone else – won’t have to deal with Chipper in the near future, because the Braves have shelved him on the DL as he prepares for surgery this afternoon to repair the meniscus. He’s expected to miss about 3-4 weeks.
Conrad Brooks will most likely take his spot at 3rd base until they can get Martin Prado (staph infection) back, which will probably be a little after the All Star break. Ken Rosenthal of Foxsports.com reported earlier that the Braves considering activating Prado a little early so that he could play in this series, but ended up deciding against it.
Goodbye, Larry. Retire already. F^@K the Braves.

But what’s the Deal about the D-Jax Controversy saying some gay-slurs on a rado show out in California the other day.. This behavior sure isn’t going to help his off-the field promotions or contract extension talks… I don’t know much about it outside from what I read and it sound like he was joking around on the Radio but still, you have to be smarter and more careful about what you say and poor example for the young kids who look up to him…
