Report: Patterson Was Dehydrated And Is Fine Now

Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson was taken off the field after collapsing and having convulsions. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital where he has reported recovered after suffering from dehydration.

ProFootballTalk.com made the following report minutes ago:

“A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT’s Mike Florio that Patterson is sending text messages from the hospital saying he is fine.

Patterson’s doctors believe dehydration is what caused him to collapse on the field.”

After practice Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Patterson had a seizure during practice.

Very good news indeed…
With this heat, humidity, these players and especially the big guys along the OL/DL really need to be careful and drink plenty of fluids and pace themselves
