Safety Jarrad Page Signs With The Eagles

Last night the Eagles signed 26-year-old safety Jarrad Page to a one-year deal . He’s going into his 6th NFL season after being drafted in the 7th round by Kansas City in 2006.

Page (6-0, 225) has played in 63 career games (40 starts) and has totaled 210 tackles, 12 interceptions, four forced fumbles and one sack. Page has also notched 23 career tackles on special teams. He spent his first four NFL campaigns in Kansas City and started all 16 games in both in 2007 and 2008. Page posted career highs in tackles (85) and interceptions (4) in 2008.

With the Chiefs in 2006, Page intercepted Peyton Manning in a AFC Wild Card game at Indianapolis.

Page was traded to New England prior to the start of the 2010 season and suited up in 10 games for the Patriots (one start), recording 12 tackles and two interceptions.

A native of San Leandro, CA, Page was a two-sport star at UCLA, playing both football and baseball.

It feels so good to see the Eagles signing football players.

No more signing out of position guy. Get the positon you need. Love it.

If we don’t anymore players coming of torn ACLs it will be the happiest off season of all time.

I don’t know anymore about this guy than what the article says, but I like the signing.
– plays special teams (and makes tackles).
– has 3-5 tackles per game.
– 26 years old.
– 12 interceptions.
– 4 forced fumbles (something the Eagles have lacked for years).
– 2 sport athlete.

You can’t afford to have starts at every position, so signings like this need to net you a solid player which he sounds like.

Now get some Linebackers.
