The New York Giants Have A Good Chance Of Beating The Green Bay Packers

The Giants kicked some butt yesterday against the Falcons.  The New York Giants defensive front dominated the Atlanta Falcons offensive line  and that forced the Falcons to throw the football.

First the Big Boys shut down the Falcons running game, then that Giants defensive line pressured Matt Ryan to keep him off balance and out of sync.

I think they have the best chance of beating the Green Bay Packers.  You have to dominate the battle upfront to neutralize the brilliance of Aaron Rodgers.  You must force him to throw the ball away and throw the ball early.  You must pound him to the body for an entire game in order to get him off his game.

The Giants are the one defensive line in the league, which has the talent to do this.  They could pressure Rodgers without taking chances with the blitz.  There’s no offensive line in the NFL who could block that defensive line when they’re on top of their game.

You’ve got Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul, who could all take over a game.  You could double team one of them or maybe two of them, but you can’t double team three of them and still run your offense.

They could beat the Packers, if they’re running game explodes with Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs having big days.  If that happens and Eli Manning plays as well as he did yesterday, the Giants can beat anybody including the Packers.  I’m not ready to say that the Giants will be the Packers on Sunday, but right now I give them a good chance of doing.

We’ll take another look at it, later in the week and I’ll give you a pick.

Finleys to much for the backers. There receivers are better then the Falcs and there defense wont be missing there best coverage guy.

I know you love there chances but Pack win by 10.

That’s over-simplifying it. Big Blue matches up really well with GB. GB’s great receivers will be less of a factor if the our front four can disrupt Rogers timing. It’s going to be an epic game! Go Blue!

does anyone else hate the fact that we have to talk about the Gmen in the playoffs and our guys are sitting at home? This sucks.

Should be a great game as both NFC Games will be probably the best games of these Playoffs.. (hard to top Broncos/Steelers from yesterday)
I expect Manning to be able to make some big passes down the Fiel to NIcks, or Cruz..The Packers have given up a ton of big plays this Season and did not get the amount of Turnovers later in the season as they did in the beginning of the Season.. Packers OL has lost 2 Starters since they played the Giants in the middle of the Season, meanwhile the Giants have a healthy Tuck and Umenyura who did not play agains them as well at MLB M Boley..
I think the Giants can win because they will not be intimidated by Lambeau field, they are a good bad-weather team and simply HC COughlin (though I am not a fan of his) has pushed the right buttomes, and keeps his teams mentally tough and focused.. The Packers do get WR G Jennings back aftewr missing the last month due to injury, how’s his condtioning, timing and endurance.. Time will tell I am think a 34-31 Type of Game right down to the end won by a FG on whoever has the ball last…

The Giants will beat the Packers…. always the NFC East team that causes havoc….the Giants are finally healthy and playing their best ball…..see them making a run to the SB against the Patriots….just my opinion….if the Eagles got in, they would be making this run.

Too funny G-Man…
I do think Jott1972 maybe is exagerrating a tad.. The Eagles could not play and hang with any of the these 4 Teams that are left in the NFC…

The Packers arent the Falcons dude.Rodgers is not gonna let that pass-rush dictate the game. His release and that soft secondary will be your end.

Isnt there a Giants website for you to post on? I dont recal anything from you during the season.

FYI…The Falcons are a joke….a dome team that cant win outside. They played without a Pro-bowl corner.Ill give the G-men some props..they played well. But the Packers are a different team.

I dont see any stupid comments G. Maybe go back and look at the tape. You gotta put yourself in a better position to review the comments.

To beat the Giants your o-line has to be above average. The Falcs are not….

Gary, too funny. The comments aren’t stupid, they are borderline delusional. Good to see you commenting with your crew. Don’t be a stranger. LMFAO!

Of course the Giants have a chance. They value big tough defensive players. They value running the football and play physical. All the things Reid doesn’t do and that’s why it will be the same story next year. Depressing to say the least.
