LeSean McCoy Named The FedEx Ground NFL Player Of The Year

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was named the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year and deservedly so.  McCoy made things happen every time he touched the football for the better part of the season.  He was without a doubt the Eagles Most Valuable Player and their most consistent player.

It was a career year for the former Pittsburgh Panther.  If more of McCoy’s teammates had performed on his level, the Birds would be playing this weekend in Indianapolis.

McCoy had a nose for the end zone and you can’t overemphasize the importance in putting points on the board.  He led the NFL with 20 touchdowns and ran for 1,309 yards while averaging 4.8 yards a carry.

The Eagles have been talking to McCoy trying to work on a contract extension, so expect something to be announced later in the year.

New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees won the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Year for breaking Dan Marino’s All-Time season passing record.

Congrats to McCoy on a great Season..
I hope for next Season that he follows the called running holes a little more ofen and stops always trying to cut back which towards the end of the Season, teams were better prepared for.. Nothing wrong with getting a sold 4-5-6 yards on the designed call, not every run is going to be a 20 yard + big gainer..
Another words, I would like to see MCCoy stay away from the loss of yardage, carries so that he help’s the Team stay out of those 2nd & 13 yards to to go or 3rd & 8’s as much as possible.. ..

Congrats Shady. The team MVP, also. It’s not even close. Now we’ll see if the clueless FO will compensate him properly, like they did ill-advised, & stupidly to Vick.

Just imagine how good Shady McCoy’s numbers would have been in 2010 and 2009 if Juan wasn’t involved, you know, with being such a hard worker and nice guy coaching the offensive line?

Skills…the best one cut runner in the league…love how he makes the d-tackles miss after his first two steps towards the line of scrimmage.

His off-season training program must be that of a Greek warrior. You could really see the change in lower leg power early this year. The way he jumps and breaks guys tackles is out of this world. We should look for a sustained level of All pro performance from this dude for the next 5 years. Peters is solid for another 3 easy…Herramans-Runyanesq…Kelce-soph..Watkins-soph…he should be able to shatter some Birds rushing records.

Paul…indeed..could start taking it back to the l.o.s or getn one rather then thinkin his skills can get em out of it. Thats youth.

Message to Walrus……20-22 carries min every game dude…hes better then Bbrook.

He brought his A Game every game which is almost impossible in the NFL. The impact he made on the Eagles cannot be overstated! I can’t think of a game that the team would’ve been competetive without his efforts, whether he made a significant number of yards or not.

Shady is THE Eagles star. Now, if we could just get a QB that was half as consistent as Shady!

Imagine where this team would have been last season with Shady and a QB that didn’t turn the ball over like he’s turning over flapjacks at the IHOP.

Can you imagine how bad we would have been without him. I tremble & shiver at the thought. Dude is a flat out stud, rushing & receiving. Blocking still needs work, but hey, nobody is perfect.
