Here’s A Picture Of DeSean Jackson In His Lakers Sweatsuit

Eagles speedy wide receiver DeSean Jackson had to be disappointed the other night because the team he grew up cheering for a watching as a youngster from Long Beach, California.  His Lakers were beaten by the Sixers when guard Lou Williams got hot late.

Jackson went to the game at the Wells Fargo Center and did so in style by wearing a Los Angles Lakers sweatsuit.  Local fans were calling in all day long on 94WIP-FM, complaining about DeSean.  A lot of people had major problems with Jackson wearing the sweatsuit to the game.

Another reason why his @$$ should be gone! Non-loyal, Urkel look-a-like, piece of elephant dung! I bet you he winds up with the Niners next year! I can’t wait until we don’t have to talk about this @$$clown anymore. Rosedud, please sign Bowe, & draft another speedy WR in the 4th round, like Joe Adams or Jarius Wright. Same speed, same hands, better return ability, less headaches.

DCAR your a clown. He grew up his whole life rooting for the lakers. Are you kidding me. I was at the Bulls game and he was their cheering for the sixers. Its like if you moved to another city and the eagles were playing you wouldn’t wear eagles gear. Probably not cause it sound like you would be to scared too. These fans and WIP look for anything to bitch about. It’s really getting old

trufan, first off, good morning. Secondly that is a violation to the man-code, to wear the enemies colors, when you’re playing for that city. I don’t give a $#!T if he grew up there. Thirdly there is nothing, nor nobody on God’s green Earth that scares me. I’ve been to several cites, sporting my Eagles Green & Phils pinstripes, for years, including wannabe, big bad NY. You don’t know anything about me, so don’t come out of the woodwork with clueless, asinine comments.

Fans are ridicolous..man has the right to like any team he chooses…I like it, maybe the FO will start to picture him in another’s team uniform and realize how valuable he is to the Eagles and work something out to bring him back.

Good! Glad to see that Jackson understands loyalty. He is 3000 miles from his hometown and still wore his favorite team colors proudly, regardless of what we thought. I would be more sketchy about him if he sported the Sixers gear just to placate us.

Sorry DCar, but to utter such nonsense about nothing on God’s green earth scares you……LMAO!!!! That alone makes you suspect. Thanks for the laugh though.

He was born and grew up in LA. He lives in Philly now, so what. I was born outside of Philly and grew up right outside of Philly and rooted for Philly teams my entire life. I also graduated from PSU. I now live in Madison, WI. Do I root for the Packers, Badgers, Brewers or Bucks? NO. I root for the same teams I have always rooted for since I was little. If he was wearing another football team’s colors(Cowboys, Giants, Patriots..etc), then I would be pissed. But just cause he lives here doesn’t mean he has to root for our teams. DCar you are an idiot.

D-Jax’s Watch is as big as his Glasses…
His “Spike Lee” look doesn’t work for him, let him walk, just for poor fashion if nothing else…

No problem with DJax. He grew up in LA. He is a loyal guy, just like the posters on here. PhillyFan4Life said it well. You support your team where ever you live, although I did have problems with AI when he did the whole Cowboys thing.

Like I said in a previous post GCobb is always, always trying to find something to say about the Eagles players. Desean went to the game wearing a Lakers jacket, so dam what, he’s a grown man and has a right to wear whatever he wants, and has the same right to cheer for whatever team he wants. Just like if any of you or GCobb went to another state, city, and attended a game you would wear whatever you want to represent the team you are rooting for. Damm some of you people are just ridiculous.

WTF. I was sitting next to DJAX at the Union game. He was wearing LA Galaxy gear instead of Union gear.
Seriously, He didn’t have to wear Laker gear, but it’s probably his favorite sports team. If I was on a Cali. pro team, I might wear Sixer gear to game out there.

Imagine how much money he saved getting court side in Philly instead of LA. He saved thousands of dollars. Used the saving to buy that pizza sized watch.

Fans are ridiculous…I worked in New York for years, to the point where people thought I was from New York. I have friends there, I went to a lot of games and I can tell if ANYONE tried to tell me I shouldn’t wear my Philly sports gear there they would get to hear me tell them to kiss it.

Sources stated that D-Jax had a “49ers Jersey” on under his Laker Warm Up Jacket that was signed by HC J Harbaugh & Jerry Rice..

D-Jax is a Philadelphia Eagle… nothing more nothing less. His loyalty is with that team. HE DOES NOT have to root for any other Philadelphia teams. And he’s a huge Kobe fan. I’m diehard Philly all the way around, been in the DC area for 20 years now… does that mean I have to root for these bum teams in DC, hell no… BTW I was a huge Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls fan, but not when they played the Sixers.

I don’t have a problem with him being a Lakers fan, just a little one with him being all “Lakered” up at the game. Just be low key about it. He has to know this is Philadelphia and you being an athlete of one of the teams do not wear the opposing team’s gear. Just a violation. I mean he can be a fan of who he wants but he just has to know that he won’t earn any more fan fare by wearing that. When Iverson wore the cowboys hat, everyone flipped out because you just don’t do it.

Scorp is right. No need to be all decked out. And ChuckRob, there is a big difference between you moving to DC as a Philly fan and DeSean Jackson, starting WR for the Eagles, wearing another city’s gear. That’s apples to oranges. I don’t see that big of a deal with him wearing it but I probably wouldn’t have done it if I were in his shoes.

last time I checked this is a free country. Wear whatever team color you choose to wear point blank. He’s from LA and wants to support his BB team. When he’s in green, all I care about is his production on the field.

WHO CARES ABOUT BASKETBALL? IT’D BE DIFFERENT IF HE SHOWED UP TO A COWBOYS GAME WEARING A ROMO JERSEY. IM AN EAGLES FAN. I’M NOT OBLIGATED TO ROOT FOR EVERY TEAM IN PHILLY & NEITHER IS HE (ESPECIALLY A CITY THAT PAYS STEVE SMITH, VINCE YOUNG, AND RONNIE BROWN MORE THAN YOU)

Whats with the glasses and the nerd look? Who told these guys that looks cool now? Maybe im too old but dressing like a dork intern makes you look like a dork. Dorks are alright, but come on? With the skinny jeans now and the big frames. You look like a@@faces.

So what he likes them and hes from Cali…thats how those dudes are…they dont do the whole sports loyalty thing there ,SO WHO CARES! Dude grew up liking the Lakers…so when his squad comes to town he gets amped and wants to go watch em in his gear.Like CHuck does in DC. Respect his fan. That whole Philly attitude that a guy cant rep his squad when he plays here if its the Lakers or Celts or whomever is played.Old schoolism that is whacked.

What i meant is they dont subscribe to the same type of codes we do.

Either way,to get all fired up about Desean wearing his Lakers stuff to the game is over the top.

And the heat hes taking on here and in general the bashing on his game is supect to me. My opinion. The dude came here and started from day one. Has been a dynamic offensive player in this league since day one. He was paid like the long snapper after having a pretty damn good season in 10′. So he let it get to him a bit and he regretted it and i dont agree with how he handled it.

Let me ask you this….you come to work and find out they just bumped the janitor up to your pay grade. The janitor is solid and does his work with no quesitons asked and is reliable. You have been exceeding your goals for a year. And you have been helping others achieve some great things. So you go to your boss and ask for some love. He tells you to pound sand.

Noone on here would be disgruntled?

What happened to Stevo’s thread….
Anyways, I think all future contracts for all Philly Athletes should be as follows

#1) They must live in Philly Area all year around (no going home after the season)
#2) They must Support all other Philly Teams and Sports (even the Sixers)
#3) They must Use a LImo Service when going out for the evening out on the town,
#4) They must support GCobb.Com and his Posters with inside info, scoops and yes, even rumors…

CT, OK you got me. I’m scared of being trapped in a room full of jonesing, crack-head, chimpanzees, with machine guns. In all seriousness, the only thing that scares me is the big man upstairs. BTW, maybe I overreacted with my prior statement, but this kind of blatant rub it in Philly face $#!t, get’s on my last nerve.

Well, Jackson is from southern California, so what can you say?

As for me, I never liked Kobe’s ‘persona’, or cared for his dad ‘Jelly Bean’ as a player.
