The Latest Talk About The Eagles

DeSeanJacksonandChipKelly1Comcast Sportsnet’s John Gonzalez tells us that Eagles President Don Smolenski believes the Eagles will draw more fans to Lincoln Financial Field when they open it up to the fans, than they did out at Lehigh University during the Andy Reid era.  Eagles fans have already reserved over 200,000 tickets for the five open practices.

Lincoln Financial Field will be more accessible to more Eagles fans and it seems like they’re very hungry for some football, but we’ll have to wait and see if they’re going to pile in there to see the Birds practice.

The draw of seeing the quarterback competition will definitely heighten the excitement.

Geoff Mosher at Comcast Sportsnet tells us how Chip Kelly values the quarterback being able to accurate deliver the ball consistently from play to play.  He tells us that this will decide who wins the quarterback job.

Phillymag.com reports that the Eagles have invested over one million dollars on technology to be able to measure the agility, force and acceleration of their players.

“The Eagles have signed on with a company called Catapult Sports, which produces matchbook-size GPS devices packed with sensors that are worn on the uniform to measure things like agility, force and acceleration. In all, we were told that the technology upgrades cost the Eagles more than $1 million.”

I think it’s fascinating to be able to get this information on each player, but very expensive at one million bucks.

Chip made a comment saying he wants a QB that has an ability to Run not a Running back that knows how to throw. Take that as you may but it says alot you really dont have to run to be successful especially when you have weapons even your backup RBs are weapons why run? If a play is broken and you have to improvise Foles did that to perfection against Tampa Bay 20 yrds in and TD. Barkley will be the back up until he surpasses foles.

imo qb position is all about pocket presence, pocket awareness, and stepping up, stepping back, stepping left, stepping right. imo if you get your footwork right the rest is easy 99% of these guys can throw consistently accurate standing still, its the footwork with eyes downfield that separates the studs from the duds.

you ever watch vicks footwork? lmfao

49ers acquired CB Eric Wright from the Buccaneers in exchange for a conditional 2014 late-round pick.
Wright was projected to start opposite Darrelle Revis in Tampa Bay, but it now looks like second-round rookie Johnthan Banks will be given every opportunity to secure the job this summer. Soon-to-be 28-year-old Wright recently took a hefty pay cut from the Bucs, and he’s signed for just $1.5 million this season with no guaranteed money. He’ll compete with a handful of other corners in San Francisco, though Jason Cole of Yahoo! hears the 49ers want to dump Carlos Rogers.

i dont see the niners dumping rogers but asomugha?

CB Wright has a lot of Talent after being a High Draft Pick of the Cleveland Browns a few Years (a high 2nd Rounder I belive) and has had 2-3 Run-in’s with the Authorities and has never quite lived up to his Potential.. He signed a big Free-Agent deal with th Bucs 2 Years, never lived up to it, took a pay cut last year and now gets moved for a constional mid-round pick… 49ers got a steal here if Wright keeps his Focus.. Remember 49ers have some age at their CB positions with Carlos Rogers, who becomes a free-agent next Season and Namdi Asomougah who may end up playing more Safety and a Slot CB than the outside CB with this aquisition..

More info on that trade Haaa

New 49ers CB Eric Wright was arrested on suspicion of DUI last Friday night in Los Angeles.
Wright posted $5,000 bond and was released. This undoubtedly played a part in the Bucs’ decision to ship him out on Friday. Various beat writers reported, following the trade, that the Bucs were planning to release Wright had they not found a trade partner. They did well to secure a late-round pick.

Ps Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll, lunch, harvin, rice and Tate are praying daily the niners put nnamdi at safety

Fearless prediction niners don’t make the playoffs

I believe Wreight had 2 previous run ins
While in College also (Easpons charge/Public Intox)
And I think he had a 4 game suspension already by the NFL during his 1st or 2nd Season with the Browns for fail drug or alcohol test which is why the Browns let him walk in the first place and many Observors were surprised at the big $$$$ that the Bucs threw at him for he was not in high demand arounmd the NFL dur to his past issues..
A talented Player no doubt, but lots of baggage as well
