Thursday Night Football Pick

PeytonManning1My Overall Record: 133-75 (Last week: 14-2)

San Diego @ Denver

Can anyone slow Peyton Manning down?

Right now, Manning is in the midst on an MVP-caliber season, and he just continues to light up opposing defenses each week, dropping 40 on the Titans last Sunday.

San Diego is still in the mix for the final playoff seed in the AFC, but even their best efforts won’t be enough to overcome Denver on the road.

Pick: Denver 31, San Diego 23

I want Chip to watch this game tonight and get the one thing Denver does that we need to do, NOT to take our foot off the pedal in the fourth quarter! I see Denver up 20 in the fourth and their still driving and scoring TDs, they never stop, that’s why you see them scoring 40 n 50 points a game, once Chip gets to doing that, we won’t have to be talking about how we keep letting teams back in the game.

An offensive lineman has never won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award, but you can certainly make a case for Peters, who was one of just three NFL offensive linemen to make every Pro Bowl from 2007 through 2011 before his injury.

Peters’ ability to return to form after two Achilles surgeries is a big reason the Eagles are on pace to net the 16th-most yards of offense in NFL history.

Excuse my ignorance: Who is Manning’s backup, does he have much experience and can he play?

Brock Osweiler. Drafted I believe two years ago. Never had a NFL start. Projected to take over the wheel after Manning retires which should be in about 2 more seasons.

Played at Arizona State while Foles was at Arizona
Tall at 6-6″ or 6-7″, I believe, and kind of gawky, thin build,
Similar to a Ryan Mallet of the Patriots, gets to learn from the best in Manning and will have a bright Future when he gets the chance play after Manning retires..

Same here Julius Thomas and Cgargers WR Keenan Allen
Who has had a great Rookie Season
I think the Chargers win this Game, Broncos and Manning are not looking like they did in Dept/Oct..
This us Chargers Top Pick from 2012 , OLB Melvin Ingram’s first game of the Season after a knee ending injury last year
They have a lot of high hopes for him and he seems like a nice kid..
From the University of South Carolina for those who may have forgotten about him

This game shows us that every single team this year can be beat and that their are no clear cut dominant teams. Not the broncos, patriots, seahawks, 49ers etc. They all have injuries and weaknesses. The Eagles have a really good chance to make some serious noise, not only in the nfc east, but also in this entire conference and league. Other teams are taking notice… NFL.. here comes the Eagles..

In other news thats how its been every year since 1972. also remember that the best team doesn’t always win– actually year in year out the ultimate champion isn’t always the ‘best team’.

It usually comes down to the Team that’s “Playing the Best”
Look at the Ravens improbable Playoff run last Season, who needed a 4th & 26 Yard Play by Ray Rice againt the Chargers just to make it into the Playoffs last Years and who lost 3 of their 5 Games of the Regular Season. Check out the Giants or Steelers Recent Super Bowl Wins in which thry had average Teams during the Regualr Season, but got hot in the Playoffs.. Bottom line, anything can happen, but you have to get there first to make those opportunities a reality…

In the NFC
Seahawks.Saints, 49ers & Eagles and maybe the Panthers are all playing their Best Football of the Season

In the AFC
The Top Teams Broncos,Chiefs have cooled off a bit, the Patriots are in every game but have many injuries on their Defense and now have lost TE Gronk for the Season, The Bengals & Ravens are flying under the Radar and Teams like the Chargers & Dolphins still have a chance to make it … Chargers are a dangerous Team and have Wins over the Broncos,Chiefs,Eagles,Cowboys & Giants this Season..
How do the Bears continue to Play with Cutler back who is playing for a Big COntract, the Lions are up and down and the Packers still have hope but not having Rodgers versus the Cowboys hurts their Chances, if Packers lose, then they are finished for the Season meaning Aaron Rodgers will probably be shut down for the remainder of the Season
