In 2013, undrafted rookie free agent linebacker Jake Knott shined throughout Training Camp, performing above everyone’s expectations on his way to earning a roster spot.
The young inside linebacker may find it much more difficult to make the team this year, now that the league has slapped him with a four-game suspension after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.
Knott, primarily a contributor on special teams, already was going to face an uphill battle to make the squad with the additions of Bryan Braman and Chris Maragos, the Eagles were already placing a priority on upgrading their special teams, and may add further in the draft. The fact that Knott will be unavailable for the first part of the season will only make it more difficult for him to stick around.
he won’t make team on a suspension, he could possible make the practice squad but that probable won’t happen either.
a bet he fits into the culture.
Jake should Knott be on the roster and tarnish the gold standard LOL. See what I did there.
LOL.
Oh the humanity. I’m still waiting to hear about Seatle and the PED speculation there which some on here was screaming about during the season.
Those same people are mighty quiet now that it has hit home!
I was thinking the same thing…
I may be wrong, but I do t believe a player can be
“cut or Released” while under a Suspension
Per CBA & Players Union.. They can be placed on
Pup or suspended list, until Suspension is served..
I could be wrong, anyone know the Rules for Players while under Contract who are Suspended for PED, or An infraction of the Drug/Alcohol
Policy of the NFL..
You are correct paulman
