Sam Bradford Leads Eagles Offense To A Score

Bradford&Murray1Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford saw his first preseason action tonight.  He led the Birds offense to a long scoring drive.  He didn’t throw for three touchdown, but  for the most part his first outing was a success.  Bradford got hit a few times and got up without injury, so the Eagles must be happy about that.

On one play, Bradford handed the ball off to DeMarco Murray, but Ravens All-Pro linebacker Terrell Suggs hit Bradford anyway and was penalized for the hit.  Amazingly, the hit by Suggs seemed to be low around Bradford’s knees.

Bradford was taken out after his first series and he left with three completions out of five attempts for 35 yards.  He got a small taste of what it feels like to quarterback a NFL team.

Kenjon Barner did it again tonight as a he ran back another punt, this time it was 68 yards.

Great Performance by everyone tonight…
A very strong Offensive Game all night long as every QB led scoring drives..
Eagles OL Units played as did the QB’s,RB’s & WR’s
The Eagles Defensively played well (1st & 2nd Units)

There didn’t appear to be any injuries outside of Riley Cooper which appears to be a minor Thumb Injury..

Rest up, get in another week ofgoodpractices and game plan a little bit going against the Packers on the road where they haven’t played well in recent trips

I gotta say with the emergence of barner do you trade sproles to a rb needy team like pman said because his value is high right now with so many teams needing running backs but I only do it for a 2nd maybe 3rd rounder

I don’t see a 2nd/3rd for a situational RB/Returnman who is 33 Years old as Sproles is…but the Pats, Browns,Bears, Broncos, Seahawks Bucs & Cowboys would love to have a Sproles on their Team..
I like Sproles too, but if I could get a 4th Rd Pick and gI’ve Barner more reps during the Season and would be the long term Player for Return duties as well as that scatback… Eagles are stacked at RB& Returnmen

Z two years ago we traded a 5 for a 30 year old Sprolez, now thru some sort of magic we get a 2 or3 for a 32 year old Sproles? Doesn’t work that way

Do note that Saints were over the Cap and Sproles was going to get flat-out released and Teams knew it around the NFL so a 5th Round Pick was better for the Saints than nothing and a steal by the Eagles
Sproles would likely return a 5th for a Team with needs in the Return game and needing a Scat Back like the Patriots, Browns, Texans, Jets all do..

Watching Cardinals/Chargers Game
Arizona’s Rookie RB David Johnson from Northern Iowa is the real deal and just what they needed with now having a big, physical RBto gowithAndre Ellington
RB D Johnsonwas one of my sleeper picks from the Draft and keep an eye out for him, he catches the ball real well to

Thats why I say the price is so high for him….everybody knows the saints were desperate to get their cap down, and I see sprolres as a major impact player he was our mvp for a while last year…..I dont want him gone but hes diffrent then other running backs in the league…..hes versatile to the loint he can score from anywhere on the field

Sproles is irreplaceable – these David Meggett type players don’t come along very often. Last year this group went berserk when the chipper released the 4th string RB Henry Josie who fizzled out in Jacksonville’s practice squad.

A 2nd or a 3rd no way at best you would get a 6th or 7th or nothing.

Even when he has had time he has still missed some receicers….looks like hot garbage. He has not moved the ball against Oakland or Titans.

He still has to hit the receiver though…Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin is good enough…hit them….Foles is just missing his targets.
