Eagles Are Trailing 38-7 In The 3rd Quarter

CalvinJohnsonvsEagles1It wasn’t a pretty first half for the Birds as the Lions took at 24-7 lead into the locker room.   Detroit just scored again with a Matthew Stafford hooking up with Pro Bowl wide receiver Calvin Johnson for the third time today.  It was the second touchdown pass of the second half for Stafford, who threw a TD pass to Johnson just before halftime with the Lions offense in a 3rd and 17 situation.

The Eagles gave up the first touchdown of the game on an “Angle” route by Lions running back Theo Riddick, who beat Eagles inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks.  Kendricks was in man-to-man coverage, which means you can’t get beat inside.  You’re supposed to play inside technique on the receiver and that means taking away the inside route.

Riddick gave Kendricks an outside move, then came back inside and was wide open. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was looking his way, so it was an easy hookup for a touchdown.

The Eagles came back and put together a nice drive which ended with Mark Sanchez hitting Brent Celek for  a one yard TD throw on a crossing route.  Philadelphia tight end Trey Burton had nice 43-yard catch and run.

The Eagles offense has inconsistent in the first half with Mark Sanchez completing 8 of 14 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown pass.

It’s now 45-14 G-Man …
I called a 36-16 Lions Win all week leading up to the Game as I saw no chance by a mentally checked out Coach/GM Kelly and his Checked out Coaching Staff and Players…

Did you see the smacked-ass move by Bust Rookie WR Nelson Agholor?? What an idiot .. He’s a lot like Josh Huff in the sense that these young Players are immature and cannot keep their emotions in check onTop of not being able to contribute much production to begin with..
The Eagles WR’s Corp Rank 25th In the NFLinTerms of Production (Receptions, Yards &TD’s) and this is playing in a passer QB Friendly system
What a Joke Chip Kelly had turned this Eagles Franchise into in a relatively short period of time..
Good Riddance to the Chip Kelly Era which was a short one as I expected and called when he was hired 3 Years ago
The sooner he is gone, the better I and many Eagles Players & Fans will feel..

I am watching the 2nd half late on PVR. Its still only 31-7, but I know what’s coming.

At least I had the brains to go on the over. I knew these Eagles mercenaries were going to fold up.

2 notes:

1 – Rowe is playing fine. Someone should be fired they way their are about to ruin his career. It’ll take him a while to recover, even though he’s actually playing pretty well.

2 – Sanchez gets another WR lit the fuck up. That’s weird.

3 – Strip sack?? I was told yesterday that strip sacks don’t count, so I won;t be mad as Sanchez even though its his 578th of his career.

Liking these Panthers Uniforms , more importantly, I like the Players and Coach’s that are in the Blue, Black & Silver who are committed, focused and disciplined and were built the right way… Kudos toOwner Jerry Richardson, GM Dave Gettleman and Coach Ron Rivera and his Staff
They have a very Young OL & WR Corp and gave a nice mix of Youngers/Veterans on Defense that are playing as a Team on a Mission..

Cam Newton of year’s past would not have hung in the Pocket and make that 3rd Down Pass Completion .. Now he is patient and seeing the whole field which makes him especially dangerous with that arm he has..

How many of you enjoyed watching Ziggy Ansah destroy a less talented Lame Johnson, who is perpetrating as a Left Tackle??? Please shut up about Lane Johnson. Perennial Pro Bowler my ass…..

– 4 sacks, caused a fumble, and a fumble recovery going one on one with Lame all game..

Vinny Curry 2 sacks – the only sacks recorded bay any Eagles Player. Curry, and Ansah would be nice book ends to Fletcher Cox, and Benny Logan in a 4-3.

Ziggurat Ansah did have a excellent Game ..
Lane Johnson is not a LT and just doesn’t have playing that side down very well, as he looks off balanced, awkward and lunges too often instead of getting in front of your man..

I stop kidding myself, and go after Sean Peyton……

Chip doesn’t know enough about pro talent, and is too tied to his inferior Oregon talent, and take that trade offer for Chip to Tennessee for 2 #1’s – if trade is legit

– Josh Huff, Taylor Hart, Kenyon Barner, and Riley Cooper would be cut…they suck

I look to trade, if possible – DeMarco Murray, Kiko Alonso, Zach Ertz, Lane Johnson, and Brandon Graham, for players, and draft picks.

I bring back DeSean Jackson. My first form of justice.

I attack Free Agency 2016, also looking to reach for potential 2017 Free Agents to trade for in 2016 –

Josh Norman CB, Kelechi Osemele OG, and Josh Gordon WR – 2016 Free Agency

Attempt to make trades for potential 2017 free agents – Larry Warford OG, Terron Armstead LT, Jamie Collins ILB, Ziggy Ansah DE – and pray that Kansas City cuts Justin Houston as a salary cap casualty.

Then address the draft targets – Ronnie Stanley RT- Notre Dame 6-5 316
Myles Garrett OLB- Texas A&M 6-5 255
Jaylon Smith LB – Notre Dame 6-2 235
Vadal Alexander OG – LSU 6-6 332
Tony Connor FS – Ole Miss 6-0 217
Jacoby Brissett QB – NC State 6-4 235
LeRaven Clark OT – Texas Tech 6-6 315
Tyler Boyd WR – Pittsburgh 6-2 190 4.3
Jonah Austin OG – Nicholls State 6-6 330
Corey Davis WR – Western Michigan 6-3 205

Yes DE, your correct 5-10 since last Thanksgiving, what’s more amazing is how fast Kelly has crashed and burned..
Kotite was similar in the sense that he was abrasive, arrogant, stubborn and just not very likable where Kelly seemed to have the Media, and a big chunk of the Fans in the palm of his hands and he abused it and blew it…
Some of us on here did not like the Chip Kelly Hiring at all (GMCliff, DCar, Biggy and I’m sure others) but I would be lying if I thought things would fall apart this bad this fast..: it’s a host of reasons but the bottom line is Chip Kelly, he is not the Man or Coach to lead a NFL Franchise .. maybe if he just concentrated on running an Offense, that maybe he can have success at the NFL Level, but not as a HC and especially not running an entire Organization as GM/President of Football Operarions..
Lurie screwed up and quickly gave to correct himself which I hoping he does tomorrow or at least after the Season but with lots of new and young players, I would hate to have a final stretch of 5 Games where it’s become so Toxic at NovaCare that young Players lose confidence and fail to develop..

I liked McCoy but was not sure how he would the East Coast Mob Mentality with the Media & Fans which a Coach has to deal with
Is Seat is actually getting warm out inSan Diego where their Season has just been as under achieving as the Eagles and with talk of the Chargers moving to LA, the Ownershipis looking at a fresh Stsrt again with their HC..

I really liked Bruce Arians who lived in Lancaster County, Coached at Temple, knows the East Coast Mentality & Passion..
I also liked Gus Bradley and OC/QB Coach Tom Clements of the Packers

There will be another list of Available Coachs this Off-Season
Would apCoordinators Greg Roman, Brad Seeley or a Vic Fangio make good HC? Or Younger Coach’s like Dirk Koetter, Kyle Shanahan, AdamGase or the young OC from the Raiders who has done impressive things with Derek Carr inthe last 2 Years..

And have lots more younger Talent than a lot of Teams
Do note that they have had terrible injury luck with their last 4 1st Round Picks
Young Players they were counting on missing early development..

In all seriousness, Kelley has to be relieved of his duties tomorrow, there is no other way. This team has quit on the defensive side of the ball & it’s because they don’t believe in the coach. The offense was never good enough, but they’ve quit too. Kelly is overmatched in every aspect of his assignment, player personnel, scheme, asst coaches, you name it he is drowning. There are some talented players still on this team and you can’t go into NE,Buff and Ari games with a team that is mentally/physically checked out- Laurie call a presser tommorrow, admit Chip Spurrier was an abject failure and move on. This is a straight up disaster and it falls at the feet of genius

Let’s Go Panthers 20-3 Over the Cowboys..
To me I would like the Eagles to Hire a Proven Defensive Coach as their next HC.. With a Good Defense and Special Teams and even an evolving Physical Offense, you can compete in the NFL
Everyone is enamored with Scoring 30-40 Points a Game but if you can hold most Teams to around 20 Pints a Game, you will Win your share of Games..

That’s the 2015 Season for Tony Romo & the Cowboys

The NFC East is now a 2 Team Race between the Giants (5-5) and the Redskins (4-6) who Play each other Sunday.. A Giants Win Sunday with a 2 Game Lead puts them inthe Driver Seat
The Redskins play the Cowboys Twice which and with no Romo just can’t score enough points .. If the Redskins beat the Giants to make them both 5-6
Then they will have the upper hand in my opinion..

You can eliminate the Eagles, Cowboys, 49ers & Lions in my book from any Post-Season in terms of the NFC
I expect the Saints to eliminate themselves soon as well

The Chipper looked like a broken man in the press conference. I was shocked at his lack of smugness or arrogance this time. He actually took the blame, that’s got to be a first! He’s got to go! It doesn’t matter who the QB is. With this coaching staff, o-line, and receivers no QB could succeed. Sanchez/ Bradford, who cares, they are the same QB.

Honestly. I mentioned this earlier.

They used to stack 3 wrs on one side and 2 on the left. Vanished.
They used to stack 2 on each side. Vanished.
They used to run 4 verticals. Vanished.
They used to fake screens to one side then hit the other side. Vanished.
They used to run unbalanced lines. Vanished.
They used have the QB pull the ball and roll the other way. Vanished.
And if I am forgetting anything its because its also vanished.

Where the fuck did it all go? This has been going on all freekin year. Kelly said he had to cut down the playbook for the twig, but its just plain ridiculous.

I commented earlier that because the two QBs we have can;t throw makes this the easiest D in the world to defend because its a 500 square yard field…but not its a 500 square yard field that’s only attacked with 4 plays.

A complete joke!!!

All they now do is:
Murray dive
Murray sweep
Shallow crossers
Screen to Sproles when he comes in

Pop Warner playbooks are more complex.

Speaking of Sproles…you think he, at 32 was happy to be in there late 4th Q?? You don;t think he might have thought it should be Murray? Or Barner?

paulman
paulman
November 26, 2015 9:42 pm

Barner had a couple decent runs in garbage time and he needs to see more action over these next 5 Games
I cut Miles Austin and DeMeco Ryans tomorrow
I make Ryan Matthews the Stsrting RBover the last 5 Games and get more touches for Barner , yes over Darren Sproles)
I play Huff, Agholor & Matthews almost every snap to see what they can do
Over Riley Cooper
I put Walt Thurmond as the Slot CB, play Couplin at Safety and play Rice $ Rowe for Carroll who is out for the rest of the Season and probably a goner come free-agency.. I then have Rowe focus onSafety in the off-season for next Season
Draft another CB and then have Rice, Jacory Shepard, Maxwell and Re-Sign Thurmond to be your slot CB which is his best position and a huge need

The whole process is a mind bender..vin..forgetting that he’s dumbed everything up ,he also picked the groceries .The whole point to picking the groceries is based upon the simplification of the entire process.Picking your guys to execute your vision. He has bought chicken turd and he’s arrogant enough to serve up slop as chicken cordon bleu..he truly was deluded into believing his “systematic” approach mattered more than talented players. He picked oft injured or currently injured players ,and believed his Scientology of elixirs and bed monitoring would be the panacea ,for all there ills..he deluded himself ,and now he was humbled by back to back beat downs. He was brazen and felt he could sustain a bill Davis ,because his offensive system would compensate for any defensive imperfections. It was a JPP firecracker that went off in his hand ..he now taxes the defense by running 3 and outs and minus yardage ,he’s ridden bill Davis and his lack of coaching into the proverbial crosshairs of ownership. Its all crumbled ,every singular move .The drafting of Hicks may very well be the only non blemish of 2015..I’m hard -pressed to find one other shining light ..He’s now put re-signing Cox into a 50/50 proposition..Retaining bill Davis ,winning a meaningless Giant game all were a harbinger of bad decisions by this GM to be..Every trade ,he made ,he overreached ,overpaid, and over reacted..none of his GM sensibilities have shown themselves to be prescient ..he trusted his staff and shurmur on Sam I am ..he trusted bill Davis on Maxwell ..and paid for a shutdown corner ..his staff has deceived him ,his arrogance had persuaded him ,and now the beaten down process has left the team in shambles ..never forgetting that this is an entertainment business ,first and foremost ..he’s put a once exciting team into the ,predictable ,boring and almost loathing categories.Name one guy who’s jersey you’d want to own..ill wait …

I don’t believe you can say that a coach that has won the division and went to the playoffs in the first three years is toast and fire him after 1 bad season. I simply think most are just reacting irrationally to the losing the team is experiencing. I get it, we are embarrassing and we as fans want blood, but I don’t think pressing the red implode button is the answer. I think Kelly is smart enough to know and learn from his mistakes. This isn’t year 5 of the same mistakes as year 2, 3, and 4.

The only thing he’ll learn from this is his system won’t work with basic players. He has no insight into what really wins in the NFL, franchise QB’s and dynamic playmakers. The defense has played it’s heart out for most of the season, just to have to keep going back on the field after Chip’s woeful, anemic, boring, predictable offense produces repeated 3 and outs. What thanks does Chip give the defense..he throws them under the bus, the defensive collapse comes from players being worn out and underappreciated by the head coach. In addition, jettisoning talented proven players to replace them with unproven players and mercenaries, then add to this the quirky tactics of sleep monitors, smoothies, not building relationships with players i.e. what Brandon Boykin was talking about that many on here dismissed as sour grapes…this mess is what the result of Chip’s. I think the players have just had enough of Chip, now they want to get rid of his culture…which breeds losing.

1. Draft an OL every year somewhere in the draft, preferably first three rounds
2. Only acquire 1 player a year through FA
3. Never hire a college coach
4. Stay away from Diva wideouts
5. Find a freaking qb – this of course is the toughest part

Diva WRs like dez, moss, chad J, TO tend to not win….there are exceptions of course Keyshawn won one about 10 year/s back I guess.
Actually lion, now that you mention the Vick thing it was the smartest thing he did…

Yeah Cigar could you imagine a top flight receiver with Bradford or Sanchez at QB?

Josh mcdaniels the son of a legendary high school football coach Thomas mcdaniels …is just the type of new englander ,Jeffrey Lurie could gravitate to..Let chip join MM in tenny..Bring in an NFL ,young coach ,who’s been one of many ,fired and then catapulted coaches ..Remember Bellicheat ,was clevelands garbage at one time..

The biggest and best con the LLCB pulled off was resigning Vick so he could use him to gain immediate trust in the locker room that was Genuis he knew players looked up to Vick and he would be happy to help him police that initial team. He won those 10 games and got even more trust and the rest is history. I hate this dude like no other. I have no idea how this gets fixed, what a damn mess.

As the December page is about to get turned ..my question I find myself asking …who is the better football man..the head catch ? Or the GM? This is what Lurie has to be fighting with ..and to fix a broken fractured team ,do you cut your losses on both or empower one?

Well I would love to see the text message exchange during the games between Lurie and Howie…. I can see Howie doing a reverse power play …he didn’t get to be GM of the eagles by being stupid or by not knowing how to play politics…he got out maneuvered by LLCB but I have a suspicion he has a thing or two up his sleeve.

Yet another flaw,in the business model that Jeffrey Lurie assembled HAC..you don’t keep your ex wife in the guest house after a divorce as a plan B

and Howie sucks as GM anyway. No way he hires Howie as GM again. Just let him keep inventory of the toilet paper at the link.

Oh I really wonder if Howie is reminding Jeffry about his “copious notes”… The same way that ex wife in the guest house reminds the hubby of that romantic weekend in Paris!

Howie had a thanksgiving to remember yesterday ..he stuffed the bird for Jeffrey with Jeffrey’s copious notes ..it’s no coincidence ,that a carved bird was served up in the shape of LLCB ..ha

Ownership seems to be getting a pretty Teflon effect in this train wreck..The obvious bullseye and focus is on pinnochipio ,but let’s not have a memory lapse of New Year’s Eve ..it doesn’t happen without a blink from the top ..he needs be called out for his executive decisions ..as a steward of a cities team ,he needs to be front and center and not allow for his decisions to fall solely on the head duck..
