Michael Vick Does Prison Visit With His Mentor, Tony Dungy

Former Super Bowl winning head coach Tony Dungy has made prision ministry a part of his life, so it wasn’t a surprise when he went into the federal penitentiary where Michael Vick was being housed during his incarceration. Dungy, who already had a casual relationship with Vick, became the quarterback’s mentor as he tried to put his life back together.

He was there for the quarterback as a sounding board. Most importantly Dungy was there for the star Eagles quarterback when he needed him.

Don’t think it was a minor thing to Eagles head coach Andy Reid when Dungy validated Vick’s attempt at putting his career back together. It wasn’t a coincidence that Dungy was on the panel when the Eagles had the news conference to announce the signing of Vick.

It’s no surprise now that when Dungy calls Vick answers, that’s why the quarterback and the former head coach along with 35 volunteers from Abe Brown Ministries visited 1,000 inmates in a prison near Tampa. This was the first time, Vick had been in a prison since the nearly two years he spent in prison.

The relationship Vick has with Dungy is a good one because the head coach isn’t afraid to tell the star quarterback if he makes a bad decision. Dungy said publicly that he thought Vick’s decision to have that birthday party last summer was a bad decision. He’s not in awe of Vick because of his football exploits.

Ther is a lot of sodium in theit soups Paulman. Maybe that is why they look bloated at times. I’m sure their is a criminal element in the soup facilities.
