Injured Eagles Players Have Plan In Place In Case Of Lockout (Video)

If the Collective Bargaining Agreement doesn’t get extended tonight players who are rehabilitating injuries won’t be able to continue their work and treatment at the Eagles Nova Care Complex. They’ll have to go elsewhere and continue their work.

It’s extremely important that these professional athletes get professional guidance in continuing their rehabilitation. If the players doesn’t continue their work on a serious injury it could add considerable time to their recovery, so most of those players have plan already in place.

The Birds top two draft picks of a year ago are each recovering from knee surgery and as expected they have a plan in place in case there’s a lockout.

The Eagles top draft pick from a year ago, rookie defensive end Brandon Graham will head across the country and continue the rehabilitation of his knee in Marina Del-Rey, California. He’ll be rehabbing and working out at Select Medical.

Graham isn’t expected to be ready for training camp, but it will be extremely important that he gets back on the field as soon as possible so he can take his game to the next level in his second year.

Last year’s second round draft pick Nate Allen who started most of the season at safety for the Birds before suffering a knee injury, will head south to Bradenton, Florida and workout at the IMG Academy facility.

Allen is expected back for training camp. Most players make the biggest jump from their first year to their second. This youngster needs to get back on the field and get as many reps as he can get.

Players who are healthy will need to continue their workouts.

Rookie tight end Clay Harbor plans on going back to Missouri State and workout with some of the players there who are preparing for their Pro Days. If the lockout continues for an extended period of time, he will join Allen at the IMG Academy facility in Florida.

Rookie quarterback Mike Kafka said he’s going to follow the lead of Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb as they try to put together workouts with the team’s wide receivers.

Backup running Eldra Buckley will head south to Mississippi to workout with some coaches whom he is very familiar with.

By locking out legitimate rehab players the owners are hurting themselves also by damaging their product and investment.

Hey I like the new design of the overall site, GCobb keeps trying to keep us pleased. The auto play catches you off guard, but still there is a stop button. Eagle.com on GCobb? Okay, okay, not bad, I feel you Cobb.
