The NFL owners and players have agreed to extend their negotiations 24-hours, so the deadline has been backed from tonight at midnight to tomorrow night at midnight. There have been reports that owners made a proposal to the players and the NFLPA was considering the offer and deciding whether they’re willing to back up the deadline.
This is a public relations win for the owners who were seen as the bad guys prior up until today. Now they’ve got the players association back pedaling as they decide what to do now.
This is extension is definitely good news because if they hadn’t backed up the deadline the lockout would be starting in seven hours.

Well G, I guess the negotiations are “bogus” after all. If that was the case then the owners would have happily let the CBA expire rather than extend another day.
The owners demanded that discussions on a new deal begin with roughly a billion-dollar-a-year giveback by the players.
does this mean freeagency starts in 5 hrs
@phillystros5….No there is no FA until a new CBA is agreed upon. The extension applies only to the negotiations…
Good News G,
Maybe you can have a rolling thread until a new CBA is announced..
On s side note, I hope your site will have a “rolling threat” for the Draft..
That would be awesome if we can all chat and contribute, speculate as it happens (like in a game)
thanks jared… i was wondering how that works… lets hope they get something done soon so we can all welcome namndi to philly lol
i am sure those greedy owners are still wanting thaqt 1`8 game season,I dont not does 99% of NFL fans
RE nor does 99% of NFL fans, its hard enough to make it 16 games
