Oh No, This Second Half Isn’t Starting Out Right

I”ve got to give head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg credit for doing a nice job on their game plan. They had the game plan full of plays which would allow Michael Vick to get the ball out of his hands. Vick did a good job with his accuracy and he was connecting.

They had a good idea that Jim Haslett and the Redskins were going to be coming with a fairly extensive blitz package, so they were ready with those short pass plays. The passing game took another step with Vick getting more of a feel for Brent Celek.

I didn’t like the fact that the Birds weren’t able to score in the second half. game looks too much like the ones the Eagles have given away.

Second year safety Kurt Coleman had a great game with the three interceptions and each of the was needed by this desperate football team.

It’s a good thing that the Eagles played against those pathetic quarterbacks Rex Grossman and John Beck.

G, thats why I am trying not to get overly excited right now because we still have an entire quarter left to play and we have been here before. At least I have to give the team credit. It looks like they have tied up the lose ends this week as far as penalities and turnovers go.(knock on wood..lol) Mike Vick is a warrior!!!

Linebackers played amazing. Redskins could not run the ball against the Eagles at all. A ton of good things came out of this game and im sure Eagle fans can exhale a bit after this win.

McCoy is playing lights out.

O line was meh but a meh at this point from the o line is a good thing.

It was a bad idea to sign Nnmandi???? this game proved all those
spectators why it was not.

Great win. Goddamn this team can be sooo good when it gets the little things right. I am a firm believer that no off season practices really hurt this squad..Looks like were starting to figure it out. Go Iggles.

No one on this site needs to talk shot about Andy or Juan again. They didnt do anything different this win than they didcin the four losers. Only reason why we lost was because of no turnovers or mistakes.. That’s it. Good gameplan and the defense was only successful for one reason today, no missed tackles. This is the 1st time they actually looked like they wanted to play. Good job Juan. Keep it up. 10 more games. Gonna win atleast 8/10. It’s definatley possible. AR has done it before when we started 1-3 back in 03. Now we go into a bye week with momentum beating the first place skins. Trent cole and peters are gonna b ready to get bak along with graham who is gonna be a beast…mark that down

Gosh dang it GCobb, freaky game is still warm brother and you have to discount our freakin win. Damn it with this place you can’t win for winning.

Oh such pathetic QB, redskins Defense—— fill in the excuse, redskin offense wasn’t —- fill in the excuse, If this was a quality Offense we would —— fill in the loser narrative.

I knew that the team would win this game, like i said I watched every skin game this season. Skin’s fans were fighting each other over their last game. And like I said they will not recover from this game and they will begin their slide.

But GCobb was so busy seeing our flaws , he didn’t see those other guys.
Sorry G I Love ya man, truely I do, but let us have a damn minute before you decend upon us with the stark reality.

As always “LONG LIVE THE EAGLES”

Horrid game to watch. Good Win. Please keep Allen & Coleman on the field! Page needs to never see the field ever again! Coleman looked like Ronnie Lott & Ed Reed! OK, just kidding. Played well. Let’s see if they can keep it going.

I STILL SAY FIRE HIM. THE 2ND HALF OF THIS GAME IS WHAT WE’LL SEE GOING FORWARD…PLUS OUR O-LINE STILL HAD VICK RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE OUT THERE AND DIDN’T GET ANY PUSH IN THE REDZONE ON 1ST AND GOAL. SB WINNING TEAMS MAKE THOSE KINDS OF TD’S IN THE REDZONE. IT’S STILL TIME FOR HIM TO GO.

Wow, very nice game. Love it. Yet to be seen if they can continue this. But if we can use the bye to get more healthy. And keep the momentum going – we know Andy’s MO with that…. – then beat Dallas. Heck, we’ll be OK in the division. Keep improving and who knows?

Interesting that players people rat on had great games.

Coleman, Allen – duh.
Nnamdi being Nnamdi – there was hate in the past few weeks for some reason….
Patterson! – Paulman, where you at?
Laws (had a few decent plays) – Paulman…
Linebackers!
Winston Justice playing pretty decent!
Celek – many including paulman…

What are your excuses haters?

Yeah, I was afaid that I had seen this all before also. But let’s not celebrate too soon. The Eagles still allowed the Redskins to score the 13 points and failed to score themselves in the 2nd half. It shows they still have problems making adjustments. The talent is there but the coaching is not adequate(yet).

Wait Dcar, all our past conversations aside,.. horrid game to watch? How so?

And Rocko?
Again, you fail to be able to keep your head in this season – first you make a prediction about the rest of the season while you just took a hit in prediction credibility due to the win and then you make a statement about what should happen AFTER this season!?. REID AINT GETTING FIRED THIS SEASON. So for you to be worried about next season, during week 6 of an NFL – that’s sad. Just sad. I know ‘living in the moment’ is an elusive challenge but you’re not even living in the season or year…. that’s a shame man. An NFL season is a precious thing and you can’t even enjoy it.

Come on Schill. Take it easy! That’s the first play Patterson made this year. Good win, although tough to watch. Sloppily played for both. Grossman should change his name to just Gross. He sucks mule nads! NEXT COWGIRLS! Reid still needs to go!

Shittler; now you scream look at how great our linebackers were today, when since the start of the season you agreed with Castillo and Reid about what a great decision to start matthews is: remember? You and navy kill me with this prediction crap like you know what I’m thinking or that’s my “all in all” decision; when first of all, this game was one win by a Td, got 3 int’s and didn’t score any points off of em, and didn’t score in the 2nd half at all. I’m glad we got a win and never did I say for reid to lose the game this week so he could be fired. I said before this game and after this game whether we win or lose he needs to be fired.

You shittler are a flip flopper who hangs on Reids sack like a squirrel. People were pissed at AR and JC playcallin and they both deserved it. Nah Nanny Boo Boo “an nfl season is such a precious thing and you can’t even enjoy it”; shittler my friend you sound like a soft pansy gimp chump. THE ONLY THING ENJOYABLE ABOUT AN EAGLE FOOTBALL SEASON IS A SUPERBOWL shittler. Now go and collect the redskins jockstraps you pansy.

Rocko – “when since the start of the season you agreed with Castillo and Reid about what a great decision to start mathews is” – that’s blatantly false. I never said I agreed with Castillo and Reid about Mathews. Never. And I certainly NEVER said that starting mathews was a great decision.

It’s a shame that you either read me wrong or made assumptions about what I DID say, but you got me wrong there.

Rocko, wow, I guess your life sucks more than mine than. Sorry for that, I wish all Eagles fans could lead happy lives. I get a lot of happiness from Eagles wins and improvement on the team. I really do. I think > 99% of Eagles fans do – that’s pretty fundamental fan stuff right there. Sure a superbowl is the ultimate goal and it would make us happiest. But for you to sit here ‘my favorite football team won today. I’m pretty unhappy. Look at me, I’m ‘hard’ I’m ‘manly’ I’m tough’…. wow, sucks for you…

I’m just happy we won. I know it’s the deadskins and their record isn’t really accurate of how good they, and their QB is garbage etc… but I’m just glad they actually made plays. I mean we did make Alex Smith look like Steve Young. We did to Grossman what you should do to garbage QBs. And we all know that if the redskins can’t run they can’t beat you. So we did a good job. Most notable thing was not as many missed tackles as prior weeks. There will always be missed tackles because offensive players get paid to make plays too but not as many and as glaring as prior weeks. And that hit Nnamdi put on Cooley was great. I also like the long drives we scored TDs on. Good to see some sustained “dink and dunk” drives which then opens it up for plays like the Maclin catch. Just gotta keep that up for the entire game. Coleman and Allen played well. Of course grossman is awful but Coleman and Allen still has to be in position to make the plays and they were. So hopefully they continue to get better because we have a bunch of better offensive teams coming up.

I didn’t like that on a lot of plays the Redskins was having a guy coming free off the edges. Need to tighten that up. Vick will get killed. Even if he gets the ball off a slightly late hit will cause just as much damage. Someone needs to always cover the edge. Except of course, if it’s designed to let the guy come free. But on regular dropbacks, that can’t happen. McCoy is a beast as we all know, Maclin is the best receiver on this team and good to see Celek get in the game. All in all, I’ll take it. I still have some of the same concerns until we play better teams but for right now, I’ll take it. All wins won’t be pretty. I’ll take an ugly loss any day especially to end a 4 game losing streak.

I was out and about all day today and did not see the game.. I am happy and congratualte them on a much needed Victory.. At this point who cares if it was an ugly, you take them any way you can get them.. Now they resdt up, get some good players back in Peters,Cole,Dunalp,PArker and get ready for the the next 4 games which are all against NFC Competitors in the Cowboys,Bears,Cardinals and Giants and will ultimately decide the fate of this 2011 Eagle team.. If they play smart, disciplined and protect the ball, there should be no reason that they cannot win all 4 of these games but let the Team and Coaches enjoy this one for a day of so and get headled up and focused on the Cowboys who looked pretty good versus the Patriots today from what I saw.. Let’s Go EAgles..
