Eagles Must Make A Decision About Graham Before Cowboys Game

The big question for the Eagles prior to their game tomorrow night against the Cowboys. Will they activate last year’s number one draft pick, Brandon Graham, and release another player? Here’s what Reid had to say yesterday.

“Okay, as far as injuries go, really [DE] Brandon Graham is the only decision we have to make. Howie and I will get together. We’ll do that before four o’clock tomorrow, when that needs to be done. Everybody else is healthy and ready to go, as is Brandon, we’ll just see how he does today and then we’ll make that decision by tomorrow.”

“Well, I’m going to go look at the film, is really what I’m going to do. He did a little bit better yesterday than he did on Wednesday. So I’ll see how he held up today and go from there.”

I personally don’t think they’re going to activate him because if they wait another week, it will give a chance to get stronger. With another week on the sidelines, Graham will get over the soreness of playing football again and will be less susceptible to injury.

If Reid were to activate Graham and somebody got hurt, he would have to go in there and play the entire game and he’s not ready for that. In a response to a question about whether Graham would play full time or be limited if they activated him, Reid responded.

“Yeah, it would be limited. He’s only had three days of practice here, really, so you’re not going to ask him to play the whole game if you go that route.”

I say they wait at least another week.

You helped me to recognize one thing: There is always a funny punch line to every question asked about this team.

I’m done with Reid, but I can’t root for the Cowpukes.

We’re 12-0 out of the bye and we’ve lost the last 4-5 to Dallas. Which trend will continue? Ahhh . . . this is drama.

Who cares what they do with Graham anyway?

They have Babin who should not have left in the year we drafted Graham.

Babin is the starter…What’s this thing about backup bums who have no played up to their draft billing?

Who cares?

You guys act as if Graham was some stallworth impact player before his injury.

Anyway, I have a bad felling with this game here.

If the Cowboys somehow can pull this one out their game against us late in the season may mean nothing to us at all.

I think Juan Castillo gets schooled by Jason Garrett this game which drops us to 2-5.

Then we can begin the fire Reid conversations again.

They have 2 weeks still to make a Roster Move on Graham..Word is that Graham needs some cardiovascular work in condtioning before he’s really in Football Shape to improve his stamina.. I would let him get a couple weeks of practice and conditioning in and then release Jaqua Parker in 2 weeks time but now since Graham probably can’t contribute must not being in “football shape”

I love how some of you guys expect rookies to be all pros. You obviously have no understanding of the game.

Last I heard, Graham had “cheese steak overdose” and balooned up to 20+lbs.

wild….rookies becoming all pros are a little far fetched…. but is it too much to expect a first rounder in which the team payed two picks for to crack the starting lineup?

He couldn’t supplant J Parker.

Another wrong pick by this organization.

a rookie who had no Dline coach here in philly and you guys expect him to be amazing. I think Graham will be fine for us. Babbin looks amazing because of his coach…. Graham will bennifit from the coach too. In any case, id sit him here this week and work him back in a few weeks from now.

Let’s not forget the part about playing him at tackle either. I don’t know if this dude is a bust or not, so far I’m leaning towards bust, but he def. deserves more time.

Not to go off topic but Stanford vs USC bout to come on and I think the birds need to try and get there hand on QB Matt Barkley. We wont get to Luck who is sure to go #1 overall. But Id take Barkley in the first round and groom him for 2-3 yrsn then depending on where vick is physically make the decision… Im a huge fan of Luck but i really like Barkley too… I say birds draft Barkley, he ll solidify the QB position for the next 10-15 yrs

@Jon Hart…. Barkley is a solid QB…I am a fan of Landry Jones of OU…. this kid reminds me of Tom Brady….calm, intelligent and fires the ball downfield… he is going to make some team happy when he is in the draft.

we can’t draft a qb because they dropped the ball on OT in the draft so they’re a year behind again. This is the safety position all over again. Andy Reid just doesn’t get it. He can’t manage this team in his head and down the road. He’s always 20 steps behind. Case in point is the safety position, and now the OT position. Mediocrity is as good as it gets with AR. If you want dominance go be a fan of New England. I tell young kids all the time if they take sports seriously, don’t be an Eagles fan because you’ll just be disappointed.

He will be on the I R, within the next 2 weeks. Put the house on it. Remember I said it. Not only is he coming off of 2 serious injuries, he porked up to 290 lb’s, eating like a fat slob, & not rehabbing the right way. He shouldn’t be activated, anyway. He will not be ready until next year.

Where’s “Vinnie the Invisible?” He’s gone from the “Vinnie the Inventor” to the “Invisible.”

I want to hear him spouting off about the great Kolb.

Vinnie you blamed Vick for everything and claimed that Kolb would be great in Arizona. He’s so bad, they’ve taken the ball out of his hands. The only reason they haven’t benched him is because they paid a king’s ransom to get him.

It’s well documented that I hate Reid, but guess what, if he wins a Lombardi trophy, I’ll be the first man to admit I was wrong. I won’t duck and hide. I won’t become invisible. And I won’t start inventing mysterious “wind,” either.

Reid has just about drafted himself right out of Philadelphia. If he loses today, they could begin preparing his termination paperwork. In essence, this is Andy’s Superbowl. I hate Reid, but I’m with him for this one. Go Birds!

Like I said, ever since the Giants tied fire to Brady he hasn’t been the same. Oh yeah, he has his moments and he’ll beat up some cream puffs, but he hasn’t forgotten what it feels like to get hit, hard and often. Tonight, he missed open receivers (in the end zone and in the clutch).

Pay attention Drummer. Last thread I admitted at least 2x that Kolb stinks. Doesn’t change the fact that Vick stinks too.

He may stink but at least we are winning. Last I checked he is killing the Cowbiys tonight.
