Another Solid Nick Foles Performance Makes Him Look More and More Like Our Guy

NickFoles2It wasn’t another Hall of Fame worthy performance by Nick Foles, but it was a solid performance without any major mistakes and it was definitely a good enough effort to get a had-fought victory over the NFC rival Washington Redskins.  Foles led the Eagles to 24 points and took care of the football, which is what winning NFL quarterbacks do.

Foles has been consistently proving he can be a good NFL quarterback and has made me more lean toward making him our quarterback of the future.

He  takes care of the football, which is one of the reasons Michael Vick has come up short the last few years.

Foles also has shown another ability which Vick failed at and that’s  the ability to stay healthy.   He took a big shot from blitzing Redskins middle linebacker London Fletcher, yesterday.  The 6’6″ quarterback lay on the ground a few seconds, but got back up and continued playing in the football game.  On another play, he seemed to strain his shoulder a bit, but he flexed it and stretched it and kept on playing.  He continues to show he’s our guy.

There are five games remaining in the regular season and each week Foles goes out and performs solidly, he puts another nail in the foundation of making himself the Eagles quarterback.  He doesn’t need to break records each week, he just needs solid performances like he had yesterday.

Right now I think he has the job in his hands and he will keep the job as long as he continues those solid performances.

Foles completed 17 of 26 passes for 298 yards.  His quarterback rating was 104.3.  He also ran nine times for 47 yards and the first touchdown of the game.

We know he’s not fleet of foot, but the former University of Arizona signal caller has shown he can move well enough to get the job done.  He’s not going to have 100 yard rushing days like Vick, but he can run fast enough to execute the offense.

Foles led the Birds on a long touchdown drive in the first quarter to give them the lead.

He led the Eagles to 24 points in the first three quarters and that gave the Birds a 24-0 lead.  In the fourth quarter, the Eagles offense was stopped on a couple of fourth down plays in which backup running back Bryce Brown was tackled a yard short of the first down.  This cost them the momentum in the fourth quarter and the Skins eventually put up 16 points to make it a nail biter at the end.

I thought Chip Kelly had Foles running the football too much in the fourth quarter.  Kelly has to trust Foles to throw the football in those situations and believe he can do that, but still  stay away from turnovers.  I thought Kelly got too conservative in his play calling.

LeSean McCoy, who gained 77 yards on 20 carries with two touchdown scores, must change his running style when the Birds are trying to run the football to run out the clock.  He can’t dance in the backfield as much and run the risk of losing yardage because it puts the Birds in bad second and third down situations.  The NFL rushing leader needs to first get what yardage he can get after his takes the handoff, by running north and south.

Still when it was over, thanks to a Brandon Boykin interception, Foles and McCoy the offense had put up enough points to get the W.

Is the use of the zone read as the nucleus of his offense a new concept? No. Are his run-pass option package plays novel to the NFL? No. Was he the first to use an up-tempo offense? No.

But the combination and the adeptness at which he calls his offense have made Kelly successful in a short time. Wait till he gets his quarterback.

That’s not to say Foles isn’t the future. He may be. But Kelly has yet to say so, and watching Foles not maximize some of the yards he could have gained in the zone read makes you wonder whether Kelly ultimately wants a mobile quarterback.

I think watching how effectively the Eagles defense used the “gap exchange” to shut down RG3, and how the read/option has had limited success this season in general, might be an indication that NFL offenses need to be more complex.

I don’t think Chip Kelly ever thought that he could win in the NFL by concentrating solely on what the QB and RB do when the defensive end holds the edge.

Kelly will win with any QB you give him as long as he makes good decisions and does not turn the ball over.

C’mon man, makes him look like our guy??, you have to be joking. Clean your eyeballs, put on your glasses, and crown him the guy.

Unreal run here nick foles just smashing the NFL 5-1 as a starter and with the help of our improving defense this team is one of the hottest teams in football and has major momentum.

I wish we didn’t have a bye this week for 2 reasons 1 it could take away from our momentum a little and 2 I want to see more!!!!

I haven’t been this excited for Sundays every week since to’s arrival.

Go eagles!

I agree gcobb, the only criticism I have for Kelly in this game, besides the challenge, is he goes conservative when he could have put the skins out and the backups in with a few more passes by foles, it’s almost like he goes in a prevent offense mode

I believe this will change as he gets more confidence in foles

Okay not to jump to conclusions but umm I’m pretty sure there will be no drafting of QB’s by the Eagles in the 2014 draft.

It woud be very stupid not to draft one with an Aging MV, that will likely not be here next season. We need a third stringer to develop, and look, we need the season to end with Foles at the helm to really make a sound decision here.

a veteran because we have our future now in nick foles, we have our project in barkley and now we need a competent veteran back up to step in if foles were to get hurt. at the right price i wouldnt mind if it were vick but i dont think he would be ok with that but i may be wrong.

I hear you theone the only way I draft a QB is if I’m convinced Barkley can’t play, now you know I think Barkley is a stiff but I can’t think for Chip Kelly.

Ya we have not seen enough of Barkley. I hope he comes back much stronger next year. One intriguing thing is that sitting there watching MV and Foles do the dance, he knows exactly what Chip wants. He is smallish like Vick, and he may have problems seeing the field too. Foles’s advantage is his height, with the ability to see the entire field very well. I dunno Biglion.

Maybe they grab a QB in the mid to late rounds as a project, but I can’t see them burning one of their first to third round picks for a QB at this point. I want to see them draft some help for the defensive secondary and I’d like to see them grab another big receiver.

It looks like Billy Davis figured out how to use Trent Cole in his scheme. I would have Cole going after the QB on every play, this is where he is best.

Nick Foles is the starter and future for the Eagles. A game manager, which is what Barkley will be and a third string QB that pretty much plays the same role of game manager. They can either draft one in the 5th – 6th round or bring in a vet. Bringing in a vet would probably be the better choice. The 2014 draft is to valuable to the continued development of this team to waste on quarterbacks. We need a WR, OLB, safety, CB, O line and D line (depth). The Eagles will be picking mid first round probably. That’s where they can get a Mike Evans or a Kyle Van Noy. Sammy Watkins and Khalil Mack will be gone by the time the Eagles pick. They may lok at an O lineman by the time they draft their 1st pick.

QB’s Tavaris Jackson or Thaddeous Lewis could be the experience Vet, who costs little, and can run the Read-Option Offense of Chip Kelly’s..
then maybe bring in a undrafted QB to compete..
As far as the mock Drafts, Eagles are looking at around a #20th Draft Selection.. I still say they will grab DE/OLB Trent Murphy from Stanford (6-6 265lbs) or CB Ifo-Ekpre Olomu from Oregon (5-10 192lbs) or CB Jason Verrett from TCU (5-10 185lbs) or CB Darqueze Dennard from Michigan State (5-11 195lbs) or WR Jordan Matthews from Vanderbilt who at 6-3 205lbs could develop into that big target to replace Jeremy Maclin if he leaves the Eagles via Free-Agency.. Remember the Draft has been pushed back to Mid-May and Free-Agency is in Mid-late March to early April which is before the Draft so based on what Players Teams Sign or Lose in Free-Agency will determine many Draft Strategies, at least with some Early Round Picks where a Team may have a big need to replace a Player or Position..

Yes, Kelly has not been creative on his running plays or particularly common sense (as one poster stated, not having McCoy on the field when going for it on 4th &1)…The Eagles need to use more variety, including back sets, traps, slants etc…Also, running a shotgun for three plays, and then having the QB line up under center on a 4th & short tells the defense what??!!

As for ‘read option’ I watched the Baylor-Texas Tech game Saturday night and both teams ran this with success, Baylor scoring 60+ points…Very fast, no huddle, bang, bang, bang.

However, Kelly is finding out that this cannot be run on the pro level BECAUSE the players are paid too much money to work that hard…I think this is a year of adjustment for adjustment for Kelly finding what the players will tolerate and can handle.

I’m new to commenting here but been reading the comments since 2008. I think foles is becoming the future. An athletic qb would be nice for chip but it’s not necessary , I think you keep foles surrounded by great talent he can be brady like. Why would we draft another qb as a project if foles is what I think he will be than drafting another QB would be a waste. We have are project in Barkley , just add a veteran backup. Use draft picks for needed positions in both sides of the ball. I feel some people are just waiting for Foles to fail. I fell that from the media and commenters. The eagles are going to be a good team whith this coach and QB I believe. I live in MASS now and they think Foles and Kelly have something going.

1st place Eagles.
Foles looking GREAT
D playing well.
Team coming together,

When Foles stood back up after the shot he took….. man oh man!!

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Chip for his offseason conditioning. When B.C- our TE caught a screen and started running he looked like a normal every day TE…. but when he kicked on the after burners…. WOW…. anyone else credit Chip for getting that little burst out of him? can you EVER remember BC running like that before?

agreed. I’ve been sick of the simpleton QB all day talk for years. It takes a team and we are getting there my friend.

I think we will see the Eagles make a huge play for a pass rushing Monster for next season. Also a FS and a SS. I think Wolfe is the 3rd S and they will be using him alot. Boykin is adding LOTS in the secondary and he just makes plays period.

The young guys like Cox, Boykin, and Kendricks (missed him) are creating a core… going to be names we remember for a LONG time. All 3 play with heart. Carrie Williams has been a HUGE surprise for me. He is still running his mouth but is backing it up.

Stevo the fans, a lot of the posters and such have been spot on and have every right to not have wanted vick to lead their team anymore. he made to many mistakes, turnovers, didnt have killer instincts, choked a bunch , was always hurt and had horrible touch on his throws. it was a failed experience and it was a situation where a lot of us knew more than the coaches when it came to putting him behind center. but the day is here where we have a future behind center again and unless foles gives a reason there is no talk or controversy at that position (except from retards…) so the vick discussion is a wrap because his era here is.

number one priority for every NFL team is to have a legit QB, everything else on a football team comes second. we got that, now lets keep fighting this year, make the playoffs, win the division, eliminate the cowboys week 17 and then go into the draft getting better on D, O line and maybe WR

go birds.

chip lombardi has proved we can still run without vick, that we can still throw deep (and better) and all this other nonsense they said foles couldnt do has been done including rushing for 50 yards yesterday and 2 running tds this season (yesterdays was a tough run, great job foles!), and the fans proved their butts will stay in the seats even if vick isnt the qb (haaaaaaa)

5-1 with FOles keep it rolling!

Everybody jumping on the Foles bandwagon now, which tells you that fans should listen to way less talk radio, and study the games, plus a little bit of football history.

Foles has been very professional and efficient from jump street, but because he hasn’t been surrounded by media hype, people have been sucked in by all the clichés thrown around by media talking head idiots: i.e. ‘he’s not athletic’,
‘doesn’t look like a franchise QB’ and various BS nonsense…Foles is athletic, intelligent and a leader.

I believe Barkley will be a fine back up next year when he has time to get enough reps in training camp…He actually has the talent to be a starter: Look at the Green Bay 3rd stringer, the kid from Wisconsin…He’s a fine QB, but because of the numbers game, never got a chance to play until injuries came into the picture.

Eagles can spend a middle round pick for another back up, or get a journeyman vet…What became of Dennis Dixon?

Eagles are poised to make a run

I had my doubts about Kelly, probably because of his allegiance to a failed experiment at quarterback, but man

Ever since foles started again following his return from injury it is a far different eagles team

The defense is also playing great, some of these picks, signings on defense look very solid, cox, Logan, Barwin, a great surprise, even Nate Allen playing solid

The defensive coordinator has a plan, and it is obvious the players are buying in

The chip Kelly era has finally arrived, it’s a new day in eagles land, and it’s all good

Jake don’t make me laugh with you tomfoolery. Show me one post where I ever said something bad about nick Foles. I dare you. Don’t lump me in with the Foles haters. I like nick Foles and said so last season and this season. I just don’t like you! Your a lowlife scumbag as I’ve said on many occasions. The village idiot is who you are and will always be. I am a true eagles fan and have been way more optistic about his team than a lot of posters. Even DCar and company wil attest to that. So get your facts straight before u run your mouth.

Foles looked good again and I enjoy his chemistry with Cooper. We need them to continue to have that connection. Shady ran well once again and he is really barking up the best RB in Eagles history ladder if he can continue to perform like this for 2-3 more years. It was important to get that home win and Shady set the tone for how the attitude needed to be when he ripped that Redskins banner down. Enough was enough. The fans came out and was pumped early and made it a point to be loud an disruptive. I thank Desean for saying what needs to be said about our fandom and Foles for having the cities attention that it was heard by all. Something about the truth even if you don’t agree with it the fact that you hear it makes you check yourself I thought the fans did that yesterday. I still think it would be a good idea to select a QB next year. Foles will no doubt be the starter, and unless you have plans of Vick as a veteran backup I would like to see a versatile option for Kelly’s offense incase Foles gets hurt. They can sit for years but that insurance is important. Barkley can continue to earn his spot and the new guy can even be the third string coming in. Instead of taking a Mariota or Manzel grab a Braxton Miller late or that kid fro NIU who is tough as nails. Nobody would cry for them to get in they can learn to be NFL caliber passers I know for sure Miller have the arm and they both are flat out winners which you need in the locker room.

G ….all I want to know is if the highest rated Qb in the NFL looks more and more like our guy ? What does the real deal look like …perhaps he wears a cape and possesses super powers …His touch pass to shady ,.in stride was cape like …his throw across the field to the tight end ..normally scary and a recipe for disaster ,was spot on ..he has his jersey in canton after throwing 7 touchdowns ..his ratings are sick …he has had 3games of a rating taht hasn’t been surpassed since 1960 and to you ,he looks more and more like our guy..You think? Are you watching games on black and white with rabbit ears ? Try high def …look at the smiles on eagles fans ,and players and coaches ..He is the man ,not the guy ..he’s not pedestrian ,he’s special ,put him up on the mantel ,he’s got a defense that is installing fear in other players …there are tackles all over the field ,when last year year we were a wide nine ,of arm tacklers …give the coaches ,the fans the offense ,the special teams and the philly dee …. Kudos ,you’re a closet cowboy fan and with conspiracy theories of late …stay out of the book depository …your just a patsy !

OMG even the haters have to indulge me on this one. Ok so what would be the perfect scenario for a coach like Chip Kelley whose offense is based on the run from the RB, AND the QB? Check this; in today’s NFL, you need at least 2-3 RB’s on the depth chart to spell your main back Because they take a beating. If Chip is as smart as we think he is isn’t it plausible to think that he may have the same concept at QB? It’s possible. If you watch his press conference it sounds like he clearly intends to play Vick when healthy. If a healthy RESTED Michael Vick comes in and is fired up about the stellar perfoamce he saw from the bench…….. Gentleman……. We could have the most exciting QB battle in the history of the fucking league! IM JUST SAYING!!!!!!! Maybe Chip keeps two dynamic QB’s who are willing to share time for the duration. Don’t think any same QB with a 114.00 passer rating would do it, but hey would he put up those kinds of numbers elsewhere?

Chips criteria for a Quaterback is simple, make touchdowns and don’t turn the ball over. Sounds more like Foles to me. Kelly will sit down with Nick and Vick and explain why he will continue to start Nick, who has been the dynamic QB….but you said two dynamic QB’s. Who would the other be? No QB battle in the 11th week. It’s OVER!!! Just like Mike took Kolb’s job because he performed better,Foles has returned the favor. LOL, let it go man….it’s not only silly, but a joke to keep hoping for a Vick resurrection. Not a hater either, cheered Mike on when he won the QB competition, cheered for him last year and in 2011…It’s just time to move on to the future. The Vick experience isn’t taking us anywhere we haven’t already been. More turnovers and injuries. No thanks!

It was so awesome to see slants and wheel routes thrown where a guy could catch it in stride and hit the afterburners for yards after the catch.

DCar what you fail to realize is that it wasn’t just us fans on here that thought Vick should be the starter it was most of the football world.Hell Chip Kelly thought Vick should be the starter. He resigned him, he gave him the job in preseason, he started him week 1. So to single out the fans who agreed with Chip is stupid. Every former player said Vick was the guy, all analyst etc. Vick didn’t lose his job to poor play he lost his job to Foles who has played lights out. That simple. Foles is the man.Saying all that and the way Vick has handled this I wouldn’t mind Vick being the veteran backup to Foles moving forward until the Birds develop a viable option to back Foles up. Looks like Vick is mature enough to handle that. Of course he has to agree to a reduced salary moving forward and know his role. But having Vick as his backup I would be fine with. Can you think of a better backup in the NFL?

Dag, Not everybody thought Vick should be re-signed and given the starting job. Many people, including Kelly, knew that it was just a matter of time before Vick was injured.

In fact, the only coach in the NFL that would have made the choice to re-sign Vick was Chip Kelly. No other coach would have signed him after the year he had in 2012, and with his injury history.

For Kelly to start Michael Vick and run him like he was a 23 year-old rookie was the dumbest thing Kelly has done in his pro career, to date.

Resigning Vick is a must IMO. I definetly would resign Vick to a contract for 2 years as a backup. Don’t want to go into next year with Barkley as Foles backup or a Ponder or Skelton type QB. Vick knows the system, is friends with Foles and looks like he is a good soldier. No QB controversy Foles is the man. Vick knows the system and a veteran backup is needed until the Eagles develop a young QB behind Foles. Don’t want to go into next year with Barkley 1 hit away from being starter.

To much of a distraction to have Vick here next year. I do not believe he is interested in a backup role so he will look for employment somewhere he has an opportunity to start.. He (Vick) has pretty much stated that he knows Foles is the guy now. There just comes a point when the relationship must come to an end. That time will be at the end of the season. Seriously, if the Eagles wanted to resign him, they would have probably started extension talks, you know how they operate when they want to keep a player in his last year contract.

It would be a distraction to who? The nitwit posters on GCobb? The idiots on WIP? The media? I don’t think you guys realize the respect Kelly has for Vick. Now what can’t happen is Kelly messing with Foles confidence going forward. He has to play knowing that 2 turnovers or 3 bad quarters gets him the hook. None of that high school Harry running in different packages for the QB’s either.

I agree Dag unless there is a viable and by viable I mean a legit prospect that slips in the draft, and Barkley slipped because he’s a stiff. Otherwise he comes back plays the good soldier and gives that veteran presence. We all seem to forget losing your job due to injury isn’t the same as losing your job due to bad play.

If Vick plays anywhere next year he’s going to whoever pays him the most money. That’s the only consideration at this point in his career.

As far as keeping him here in Philly…naw. We have a backup in Barkley and I’m still not convinced they don’t draft a guy next year. Vick is too big a presence to have as a back up to a young QB trying to make his mark on the team. And Vick will likely retire before he takes on permanent backup status.

He likes it here, but not enough to sign on as a backup. Listen to what he says…he’s clear that he believes he’s starting material he also recognizes that injury is what will likely keep him out of the starting line up.

Vick isn’t going to be anyone’s backup. Particularly a guy he outplayed when healthy – and honestly it’s not fair to Foles to have the shadow of Vick around. It needs to be his team, that’s hard to do with Vick still on the roster whether he’s starting or not.

Vick will retire first before he takes on backup status. Unless he’s a REALLY well paid backup and even then that’s pushing it.

” Last night do you pick up that flag? I think if you throw that flag you make the call. Was it catchable probably not but I’ve seen worse calls then that.”

It was the right call. The ball wasn’t catchable. Lester was in front of Gronk so the idea that Gronk was gonna come back to the ball was silly. The story should be that Brady under threw the ball, or there was miscomm between Brady and Gronk, ’cause Gronk went to the back of the endzone and the ball was at the front.

That was a good game though. I for sure thought the Pats were gonna win. Panthers are def a legit force to be reckoned with in the NFC now.

There is virtually no Market for VIck at this point of his Career..
A young rebuilding Team or Franchise (Jags,Bucs,Vikings, Raiders,Browns,BIlls etc who are all not very close to being Playoff Teams or 1 Player away where Vick makes a difference so there is o sense in bringing in a 33-34 often injured QB to lead your Franchise..
The Only Teams would be a Veteran Team that incurs an injury at QB Position and feels they are a competent QB away from making a run… Could a Team like the Bears (if they lose Cutler to Free-Agency be interested, or a Team like the Texans who may clean house after the train wreck of this 2013 Season for them or th eFalcons if Matt Ryan were injured.. All possible, but probably not likely, but who knows, next Summer any Team could sustain an Injury (Wilson in Seattle, Flacco in Baltimore, Stafford in Detroit and may have to go out to find an experiences QB) but the likeliehood that a Team will go out and look for Mike Vick to be a Back-Up just doesn’t make sense.. Usually in Football, when a consistent, long-term Starting QB loses his skills and gets demoted to a back-up Status, their Careers are generally over.. Look at D McNabb, Jake Delhomme, Phill SImms,etc,etc..These guys don’t hang around to be Back-ups.. There’s a big Difference between a Journeyman Career Back-up QB (Kyle Orton, Jon Kinta, Luke McCown,Charlie Batch) and a Former long-Term Starter trying to convert into a Back-Up is a Special Skill and more Mental about the approach — It’s like a PH in Baseball, it’s a Special Skill and typically Players who have had productive Careers as a solid Pinch Hitter ones that have studied, honed their craft etc,etc and generally not the Regular Every-day Players who get moved to that role as they get older and trying to adjust to part-time player..

I believe Vick will get a Job with the NFL as a “Mentor-Conduit for Younger Players” who have maybe lost their way with off-the field issues and to keep things real for the Players & the NFL and would be a great way for the NFL to show that it cares about the welfare of it’s PLayers and who else could be a Poster-Boy/Player for this important need and service by many of it’s young PLayers..

Chip Kelly could still be determined to run his zone/read offense with a mobile quarterback. Most of league has abandoned the idea because defenses have for the most part stopped it, and quarterbacks are too valuable to have running 12 times/game.

But if Kelly wants a mobile quarterback Foles could be traded. In that case a mobile quarterback would be drafted and Vick could very well stay in Philly.

You never know what could happen when you are dealing with an ego like Kelly’s

All the Foles fans should not count your chickens… I know I’m not confident of Kelly’s decision.

Big, I just read an article in the NJ The Star-Ledger about Chip Kelly contradicting himself. (Google search – “Chip Kelly contradicting himself”)

Anyways, it’s about Kelly, and how he always talks about changing the offense to suite the quarterback’s skills. This week Kelly even referred to John Fox and how he tailored the offense one way for Tebow and another way for Manning.

The author points out that Kelly always talks about it, but he never really changes the offense for any of the quarterbacks. Which I believe is true….

To me it’s a sign that Kelly will bend his offense a little bit, but he wont give in totally to the idea of a pocket passer.

I think if he keeps Foles he will have to stop running him 8-9 times a game.

Even though the bye gives guys like Kendricks, Peters, Wolff and others a chance to get healthy, I hope it doesn’t screw up the flow we got going right now.

Even though we wont win the Superbowl this year, think about how great of a season this COULD be for real Eagles fans…

1-we may have our next young franchise QB (which is the most important thing we could get out of this season since were just not good enough to have serious SB chances…Foles is playing great football keep proving the frauds wrong)

2-we may go from worst to first and get a division championship behind our young QB and new NFL coach in his first year

3-we may have a solid defense building right before our eyes around some young talent we drafted the past 2 years…Boykin, Cox, Kendricks, Wolff, Logan, Curry and some free agents in Ryans/Barwin…when was the last time we could say that with Reid about the defense…drafting/FA all playing well together.

Could be a great season

Michael Vick has a lot of football left in him. If he’s not here next year, he wont have a problem getting a job elsewhere as a starting QB. If he wants to come back here as a backup he will be welcomed with open arms. MV7 has been a huge help for NFoles, giving him advice and guidance I’m hearing… He could even come back as the Eagles QB coach, but like I said he has a few years left as a starting caliber QB. This is one of the reasons why Foles hasn’t been handed the keys yet..

Dude, you play with your lady parts too much! WTF is wrong with you? Did you not get enough love & attention as a child? Did you eat paint chips? Did you sustain head injuries? Or are you just a f^#@ing retard? STFU, & go the back in Lebrons colon, where you belong! I feel sorry for you! It’s not even funny anymore, how much of an idiot you are! Between your sources, your delusions, & idiocy, I don’t know whether you need a shrink, or a good piece of @$$! STFU!!!!

It’s a Bye man lol…..let the crazies have their time. In this thread alone I read about 30 posts that made me worry about what glue they are sniffing. My sources say they are off their meds.

**Eagles News**

Michael Vick, Mychal Kendicks among others that were banged up all practiced.
Earl Wolff was present but did not participate. According to my source, Wolff may be out until December 8th if not longer.

Earl Wolfe is a big lose because Chung was getting rolled over by Alfred Morris and was/is a sub par replacement. Najah Goode played well replacing Kendricks and Roc Carmichael was a pleasant surprise replacement for Fletcher.

The two guys we need back right now are Fletcher and Wolff. The only reason we won that game Sunday was because of the front 7 creating pressure upfront. That secondary had its good moments but that last drive revealed some glaring weaknesses back there. They need Fletcher and Wolff back now in order to sure up that already weak secondary..

I agree but Kendricks wants back because though him losing his job is nowhere in jeopardy, hes a young competitve guy I’m sure he feels that he has something to prove and will try and separate himself more than ever from Najee..

It’s amzaing to see how quickly some players can heal when they feel a threaten about losing their Spot which I am not saying is the case with Kendricks who is overall having a nice Season.. Najee Good has gotten alot of Snaps and has made some nice Plays which just strengthens the Teams Depth and Experience which is a good thing.. as has Roc Carmichael… Bottom line, a good solid Defense doesn’t not have be filled with All-Pro’s .. It needs to work as one unit and have player buy in and cover each other and attaack the ball and line of scrimmage which is not what we saw with the Eagles Defense in quite some time..(Since JJ’s Time)
