Eagles Michael Vick was having some fun in the locker room with some of his teammates on Tuesday after practice as he was getting ready to leave the Nova Care Complex. Everybody was in good spirits, the Birds had some time off and they’re coming off of three straight wins. You could tell that Vick is feeling much better physically after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.
I could also tell from the smile on his face and his interaction with the current starting Nick Foles and the rest of his teammates, that Vick had reconciled himself to the fact that Foles was now the Birds starting quarterback.
Yesterday on 94-WIP, Vick said Foles should be the Eagles quarterback after the bye week. He could have gone on to say in the foreseeable future as well, but I can understand why he didn’t go that far.
“In all honesty, in all fairness, how can you take a guy out of the game who’s been playing so well?” Vick said.
“I’ve been in this stage before, and I know what it’s like. I understand the position that this team is in, and the one thing I never want to do is be a distraction or put our team or our coaches in a position where they feel like they’re not doing the right thing or I feel like they’re not doing the right thing.
“I trust what’s going on, I enjoy being a part of it, I love the game of football in general. So it’s important to me to be there in support and be ready if my name and number is called again.”
Great teammate it is also apparent that Foles and Vick are really good friends that respect each other, this seems like a good locker room and how can this not be a likeable team when you see them rooting each other on like this.

The locker room does seem like a different place this year and it speaks to the leadership of these 2 guys. These guys are competing for 1 job. 1 job that is the most high profile and they seem to be supporting each other all the way. Sets a great example for the rest of the team. No matter if you like one or the other, both have great teammates this year.

Plays out at Fresno State, Derek Carr and reminds me a lot of a young
