It’s been a couple of days of playing Fantasy Football for Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders. They have picked most of their players for this Sunday’s Pro Bowl and gotten a lot of publicity doing it. The league wanted to spice up the Pro Bowl and so far they’ve gotten what they wanted.
Now the big question remains, are the players going to be willing to beat up on their real teammates. For instance when Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, who is on Team Deion, takes a handoff are Chiefs defenders Justin Houston and Brandon Flowers, who are on Team Rice going to be willing to pound him.
Will Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe lower the boom on Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith if he gets the chance, while knowing that he could be ruining his team’s future?
Will Colts defensive end Robert Mathis, who is on Team Rice, take down his real Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who is on Team Deion ?
Bears cornerback Tim Jennings will get the chance to hit his Bears teammates wide receiver Brandon Marshall and running back Matt Forte. If Jennings get a chance to put a ferocious hit on either one of them. Will he? How hard will he hit them?
Will there be a noticeable difference between the way players hit their real teammates and how they hit other guys, who play for other teams?
This is the big question surrounding the Pro Bowl.
There are four Eagles players in Hawaii representing Philadelphia in the game. You’ve got running back LeSean McCoy(4th pick) and left guard Evan Mathis on Team Rice and wide receiver DeSean Jackson (39th pick) and quarterback Nick Foles (46th pick) was the next to the last selection before the final pick who was Kansas City’s Alex Smith.
Mathis was picked on the first day by Rice, who also grabbed a couple of New Orleans Saints guards Jahri Evans and Ben Grubbs.
Absolutely Not G-Man.. They don’t even do it (play hard) when playing the Opponenets in other Pro-BOwls let along playing against their Own Teamates… This Game is a complete waste & meaningless except for the those Players and Teams who suffer Injuries and every year we will see 3-4-5 Injuries prop up and for what..a Watch.. Stupid, Stupid ,Stupid to even have a Game Played at all
jesus christ gary your last two articles are absolutely foolish considering your arguments.
1st you say signing abreu was a a good move
then you ask if probowlers will be hitting their teammates as if there is hitting in the probowl.
This shit is just slop gary and a waste of everyones time.
FIGURE IT OUT
Look at that picture of foles
Does your heart damn good
Great young man, great young quarterback
Rejoice eagles fans, we have the next, great quarterback , and we lucked out to get him
Agreed. About time this kind of good fortune smiled down on the Birds. Been watching other teams get that kind of fortune….now Eagles’ turn?
I think so.
Great young quarterback???? Ridiculous. The great young quarterbacks in this league have won playoff games! Like Wilson and Kaepernick…There is no rejoicing for Eagles fans until we have won a Superbowl or at least get a Quarterback who proves he can take us the distance!
We ran a Quarterback out of town who was far better than Foles..the best Quarterback in Eagles history Donovan McNabb….#5!
When is the last time anyone pounded anyone in an NFL Pro Bowl? Shawn Taylor on the punter?? That’s the last pounding I remember, & it was a cheap shot. Seriously GC?
the Pro Bowl is a joke and a waste of time…unless the NFL puts some serious cash investment in the game to the players…comparable to what they rake in from TV….the game will always be a joke and a waste of time. .
Anyone watching this game, cam Newton looks real bad
How is it that the number one pick in the draft can’t complete five yard passes, he is brutal
I heard Foles got in the game and drove them down the field and scored..
You heard right. One nice long touch pass….then a go get it anticipation touch pass for the TD. Typical Foles!
How bad is Alex Smith? Sheesh..
Fole$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny how much crap you guys gave G, but there were 2 good teammate on teammate hits yesterday. Ward on Gordon and Johnson on Charles.
That was funny. Also funny was them showing the flag football d and the analysts talking about how embarrassing the pro bowl was the last decade +. So without the benefit of hindsight it was a stupid question by Gary unless he knew something and was baiting us which I highly doubt
Sour grapes much?
no not really but that expression where you make a statement and end with much and a question mark is awful and i am embarrassed for you that you used it
Just amusing that you can’t admit when you were wrong.
there was hitting last night. doesnt change the point that it was a clown question to ask with the pro bowls history. youre a tool for trolling my post and dcars with the benefit of the results. if you thought differently prior to the game you shouldve said it then.
Same ole same from this piece of feces…no one can comment to you without being called a troll or “tool”…saw no comment from Bugs that warranted that name calling
