Thursday Night Football Pick

chief andyKansas City @ Oakland

Will the Oakland Raiders win a game this season?

At this point, it doesn’t seem very likely.

This is a football team that really just doesn’t do anything well. Their offense averages just 15.2 points per game, and they rank near the bottom of the NFL in every category.

The Chiefs haven’t been blowing anybody away this year, but they’ve played at a respectable level on their way to a 7-3 start. Their defense has been the strength of their team once again, currently ranked second in the league with 17.1 points allowed.

Even though the game is in Oakland, I expect the Kansas City defense to come out and take care of business, with the offense putting up at least 20 points to get the job done.

Pick: Kansas City 27, Oakland 13

derek carr is the jimmy clausen of this years draft. He is given a chance to play and win enough games to prevent the franchise from upgrading him with a franchise QB first overall pick ( Winston or Mariota ) Trent Dilfer said after kissing Rodgers ass for 5 straight minutes after he humiliated the Eagles defense, that Aaron Rodgers could get Oakland above .500 if he was their QB( he is playing that well right now)
Hope for the entertainment value that Coach Reid makes a time management mistake or something to chuckle tonight around halftime for ole time’s sake.
Justin Houston on display tonight — He is going to get franchise tagged the next 2 seasons or shatter the highest paid defensive player pay scale on the free agent market.

I think Derek Carr is lite years ahead of where Jimmy Clausen ever was
I don’t think he’ll ever be a Franchise or Elite QB by any stretch, but he’s a gamer, a tough kid who is playing his heart out for a very bad Team..
The Raiders do have some good young WR’s and OL but lack any kind of running game and will let both D McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew walk
as their Contracts expire after this Season which is why I believe they may
have some interest in a Trade for RB LeSean McCoy, which is pretty unlikely due to McCoy Overpriced Contract and the fact that this Draft has many very Good RB Prospects in it…
Wonder if Raiders Owner Mark Davis would reach out to a Mike Shanahan
to return to Oakland.. I would not be surprised to see this occur.. Shanahan wants to return to the Sidelines in 2015 in the worst way to rebuild his Coaching Legacy that ran off the Tracks in Washington, but t Shanahan’s Credit, it appears that RG3 was the Bigger Issue in DC more so than Shannahan…

I wonder if Shanahan gets another chance?
Rob Ryan is gone,
Jim Harbaugh probably gone,
New Buffalo owner might want to hire his guy?,
Mike Smith on hot seat, Tom Coughlin on hot seat, Joe Philbin on hot seat, Marc Trestman on hot seat.

well done. As my name says, glad he’s gone. BTW, Alex Smith is my lease favorite QB. He’s not the worst QB but my least favorite. His and his coaches mindset is to do so little so as not to lose the game.. Finished week 11 and has not thrown a TD to a wideout. Total dink and dunk.

KC…coming off a huge emotional game over Seattle and heading into a big 1st place showdown against Denver next week.

In between the lowly-assed Raiders on a short week.

If you didn’t see “donut” coming for this game, you’re not paying attention.

Add in the Bad weather, making KC even more disinterested, and the Raiders jumping out to a quick lead was no surprise. Especially when considering this is the Raider’s one and only chance to get a little redemption in primetime.

Patented donut.

Don’t forget the Raiders Hall of Fame Night also where at halftime they acknowledge all Past Raiders who are Enshrined into the HOF so Crowd and Players were pumped for this one… This was a no-brainer as far as Raiders plus the Points.. The Raiders with a few breaks here or there could have a couple more wins and have not been as bad as their Record Indicates

E0S…..that was the funniest thing I have seen on the field in a while. I don’t know if they thought it was 4th down or what, but that was really funny watching them try and sprint back on sides….the look on Tucks face was good too. I know that these guys were excited to finally be getting a win, but talk about premature celebration.

I still don’t have a good feel of the Eagles Vs Titans this Week
If the Eagles are Truly a Good Team, and a Team to be reckoned with down the stretch and during the Playoffs then they should blow out the Titans from the get go and put them away early and should coast to a 15pt-20pt Win …
After last weeks embarrassing Performance, for the Eagles to at Home versus an inferior opponent who is on a short week, then there is no excuse’s. If this game is close and goes down to the wire and the Eagles squeak on by with a Win, then they truly are not as Good as many think they are and even though their record would improve to 8-3 and be in good shape for the Playoffs, they are no going anywhere.. This needs to be a “Statement Game” to themselves and to the rest of the League, that last week was just a hiccup, and that they are ready for business for the Stretch Run, anything less is just more proof that the 2014 Eagles are slightly above an average Team

Chips offense is too fast for a 2 win team. Titans will have to score in the 30’s to win with a rookie QB.

I see the Eagles losing 23-20 in this one as they fail to put enough early pressure on QB Metz, who gets comfortable and then makes a couple of big passes over the Top of Eagles Secondary..
I expect that Titans DC Ray Horton Jr is going to Blitz the hell out of the Eagles Backfield and have pressure in Sanchez’s face all a game long as well as stopping McCoy before he gets started…

If I am the Eagles DC, I am blitzing the shit of a Metzenberger right from the get go– don’t play Vanilla for a Quarter and allow him to feel comfortable .. Go right after him, sink or swim…

I am looking for the Birds to rebound, just like they did last year after the disasterous loss to the Broncos. Still a bit concerned about us getting the running game going, but so far this season the Titans haven’t been able to stop anyone, let’s hope that trend continues. If past history means anything, I also have concern that the rookie QB will have a big day against our defense. Hopefully we can get some pressure on him from the line and not expose the injuries or overall weakness behind them.

GO BIRDS !!!

I see no correlation to last Years Team which has zero expectations under

Now fast forward to 2014 when most have hyped up the Eagles Team and their Chances for a Special Season, in fact, many on here including G-Man and many Posters thought the Eagles could go up to Green Bay and actually beat the Packers… C’Mon Man .. .Really

Yeah Paul your right I guess….I really don’t even know why this team is going to continue to play, if they are as bad as you continually make them out to be. Last years team has no relation to this years team…really?

We all know your game, predict the sky is falling and the demis of the team, and then when they win and play well claim to be a happy fan. Really old…really just old. Truth is now that you are making all of these predictions that the team is going to lose, you are actually rooting for them to lose so that you can crow and tell everyone how “smart” you are. Is that how a FAN of a team acts? I don’t think so IMO. A fan wants his team to be as successful as possible, but I guess every fan is different. Keep up the negativity Paul, it will only make it more clear to the others on here when you flip again and are suddenly a super fan.

It is really a stretch to believe that a team that is 7-3 would be able to beat a team that is 2-8….at home no less. Really hard to believe that the Eagles even have a chance if you listen to this fool. Attention ….is obtained by making insightful points (and to be real) when you’re focused ,on not just slinging shit..like your statement after the Eagles lost to G.bay they were 50-1.. To be a Super Bowl participant..when looking it up ..knowing Pman the chimpanzee was on the loose they were 22-1…filter it like a pall mall…..the Eagles were feeding the fan base Character …and Culture all year ,starting with the Instagram fool ,who I predict with RG3 Mesean will prove how winning with that talent is a work in progress ..and now it’s a dead zone..if this team has the Culture ..it will become an 8-3 team filled with confidence and back to its necessary swagger ,heading to Jerry’s world..this game was and is a classic Donut game ..I mentioned how being blown out would positively detract from the classic Donut game …they’ll be what you’d expect ..excited to get after somebody …Pman what you don’t do ,is get the pulse of this team..you Songs ..Kool …all don’t show anybody that you care at all about this team..so why in the world would we measure what you say ?. I will say this Pman ..if mark Sanchez isn’t somehow minimized by this coaching staff (run dominance ) keeping his throws IMO to a maximum of 25 …utilizing two tight end formations(I think Kelly was calling out ertz) and he intended to motivate him ,in his blocking..Utilize Polk …he seemingly becomes forgotten …feed shady the ball from center ..if a leading running back in the league tells you he’s more confident ,what more do you need here ? I truly believe the Eagles ran into a buzz saw last week ..I’ll prepared ,from there shoes to between there ears .. They got bitch slapped…simply stated…what we’ve uncovered was not a mystery . Our back end sucks ,and with out a scheme of a pass rush (Rodgers was snickering) he can’t be stopped with a scheme ..he needs be bull rushed ..winning the battle at the line of scrimmage ..we aren’t built like that …we can however win and play with anybody in this league …the backend of the defense needs the front end to beat there guys ..simple but true…we will still get beat ,because that’s part of that formula..I really believe against anybody but Rodgers (right at this moment) nobody was getting out of there without a 40 or a 50 spot being put up on them ..we were jumped on,taken out of the don’t expose sanchez M.O. And had to pretty much play from down 17 and more obviously coming…wasn’t going to happen…what it did do..is make these eagles humbled..at 7-3 ..This will be a beat down game …I hope they don’t leave all the snot kicking on the file because they also know Dalllas is on deck..on a short week..Chips faulty of late …he could have stuck in my opinion to his game plan last week and continued his run game ,but he went with the next man up (sanchez) theory ,and found himself by the side of his bed …praying for foles …hit your knees songs …Kool…soon a new sheriff is coming …

I will say it again Nerlens Noel stinks.

Okafor, playing with Embiid is light years more attractive than, seeing him paired with Noel. I’d take him with our #1 this year

I’d trade him,(Noel) and MCW, to get another pick ; ANOTHER #1 this year – 2015(Emmanuel Mundiay), and another one in 2016 and 2017 – for a total of 3 possible lottery picks 2016-2017 – 2016 (Jaylen Brown 6-7 G/F), 2016(Kevon Looney 6-9 SF ) and if he comes out 2017(Thon Maker 7-1 C)….

This is my vision –
G – Emmanuel Mundiay 6-6
G – Jaylen Brown 6-7
C – Joel Embiid 7-1
F – Anthony Davis 6-10
F – Kevin Durant 6-10

G – Tony Wroten 6-6
G – Terrance Ross 6-7
C – Thon Maker 7-1
F – Jahlil Okafor 6-11
F – Kevon Looney 6-9

G – Vasilije Micic 6-6
G – KJ McDaniels 6-7
G – Jordan McCrae 6-7
G/F- JaKarr Sampson 6-9
F- Donatas Montejunas 7-0
F/C – Henry Sims 6-10

Good to hear from you Cliff. I do not think you can get anything for Noel at the present, he has to put some good tape together. If you think he stinks, chances are GM’s are not to high on him either. If one would give a good pick for him, he (GM) would be high. As far as Durant, I don’t think he would even consider it even if they offered him stock in the franchise. Durant will come to Philly, but only to play against the 6ers.

Enough with b-ball. Some kids I like for the Eagles that do not get a lot of pub.
Gerod Holliman FS Louisville 6’0″ 201 ball hawk…being compared to Ed
Reed..very instinctive…great ball skills.

Danielle Hunter DE/OLB -LSU 6’6″ 240. Agile, powerful, physical and aggressive 4.68 40.

Josh Shaw- CB USC 6’1″ 212- Just coming off suspension. Very instinctive, knows how to play position

Eric Rowe CB Utah 6’1″ 205, played safety, moved to corner for his ball skills and cover ability.

Jaquiski Tartt Safety Samford 6’1″ 217. Fast, physical and can cover.

Alex Carter CB Stanford 6’1″ 201. Cover ability…plain and simple.

Jalen Collins CB LSU 6’2″ 201. Cover abilty.

Deandre Smelter WR Georgia Tech 6’3″ 220. Big, strong, good speed and good hands.

Nate Orchard Utah OLB 6’4″ 255, very quick off of snap, can cover. Needs to be more physical against run.

Jamal Golden Georgia Tech safety 6’1″ 193, good coverage ability, understands how to defend. He is the anti Nate Allen.

There biggest problem right now is MCW came back thinking hes a scoring a PG and honestly has been terrible initiating the offense. The ball gets thrown around the perimeter and either Wroten runs heads first into the middle of the defense or MCW is shooting the worst shot in basketball 21ft 2ptrs.

Instead of him running pick and rim run with Noel. Davies has come back to earth.

Wroten and MCW can not play together. McDaniels should be starting at the 2/3. MBah Moute could be trade bait…hes actually playing well. Whenever Alexy Shved comes off the bench and hits some threes suddenly they look decent. If they are going to successfully integrate Embiid next year they need to focus on the perimeter in the draft or free agency.

Heard a rumor Waiters for MbahMoute and possibly a couple of 2nds in a 3 team deal.
