Notes From The Phillies’ 2-0 Win Over Atlanta

The Philadelphia Phillies snapped their three-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon, taking down the Braves 2-0. Their record improves to 62-94.

On The Mound

  • Nick Pivetta got the start and pitched six scoreless innings, giving up five hits and one walk.
  • Edubray Ramos pitched a scoreless seventh.
  • Adam Morgan came on and got the team through the eighth.
  • Hector Neris picked up the save in the ninth.

At The Plate

  • The offense managed just two runs on seven hits.
  • Cesar Hernandez had three of the team’s hits, going 3-4 at the top of the order.
  • Aaron Altherr went 1-4 and drove in a run out of the two-hole.
  • Nick Williams went 0-3 with a walk.
  • Rhys Hoskins also went 0-3 with a walk.
  • Tommy Joseph got a start at first, and went 0-4 with two strikeouts.
  • Maikel Franco went 1-4 with a solo homer.
  • J.P. Crawford took an 0-3.
  • Jorge Alfaro went 2-3 with a couple of singles.

Final Thoughts

The Phils are now just one win away from avoiding 100 losses.

SF lost & so did Detroit – Phils were tied for worst record in MLB now they are tied for 2nd worst record.
