The 75th Annual NFL Draft has come and gone.  When I look at how the Philadelphia Eagles approached, I keep repeating the number thirteen.  If one-third of the their draft picks don’t make the final roster, eight rookies is still a lot of young talent.
The fact that Philly drafted this many players is no [...]

I like the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles aggressively attacked their need for an improved pass rush and a dominating defensive end on the other side away from Trent Cole.¬† I didn’t think they needed to give up so much to move up and get Brandon Graham but I give them credit for getting their [...]

I was like a lot of other people this past weekend in that I sat glued to the television for the better part of three days. And I got tons of phone calls, texts and emails asking what I thought about this pick or that pick or the draft as a whole.
I’ve said it [...]

The Eagles just added a big wide receiver Riley Cooper of Florida in the fifth round.¬† He’s 6’4 and weighs 222 pounds and is a possession receiver, who has good hands and runs good, crisp routes.
Cooper is the prototype of a west coast receiver who has the size and feel for the game that’s perfect [...]

There’s no question that I believe Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has adopted the mentality of New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese.
I agree with the mentalityof getting pressure on the quarterback because a quarterback can’t get the ball to his receivers, regardless of who he’s¬† throwing the ball to, if he can’t get time.
“You [...]

The Eagles grabbed Oklahoma linebacker Keenan Clayton who isn’t that big but he is a speed guy.¬† He’s listed at 6’1″ 229 pounds which isn’t that big but he can run.
They timed him at 4.55 in the forty-yard dash.  I think the Eagles want all their linebackers to have the speed needed to run with [...]

Andy Reid, Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles plan on adding some serious talent today during the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds of the draft.
Many of you are asking what was the thinking of the Birds in the making all of the trades last night?  Why do you need all thoes picks in rounds [...]

The Eagles grabbed USF safety Nate Allen with the 37th pick in the draft. He will be given a chance to winning the starting job when the team gets together for training camp in late July.
They weren’t able to get Mississippi running back, Dexter McCluster because the Kansas City Chiefs selected him with the 36th [...]

What’s the next step now for the Eagles?¬† They have the defensive end they wanted, but they still must secure a safety and a corner.¬† A center or guard would also be a good acquisition, but that will likely be done tomorrow.
The second and third rounds take place today and the Eagles have the fifth [...]

The draft had quite a few surprises after starting off with everybody doing as expected.¬† Florida’s Tim Tebow was drafted by the Broncos even though they already have two young quarterbacks, but Notre Dame’s Jimmy Clausen wound up not making the first round even though many consider him most prepared to play right now.
1. Rams: [...]
